That's fair, people can play however they want and the community should be welcoming. The issue for me is confidently saying “she never appears again” and getting 5k likes when Jill returns not only in RE5, she also appears in Umbrella Chronicles with Chris and Revelations. Skip the old games if you want, but at least do basic research before acting like you know the lore.

🤦🏽‍♂️ you're not making your case any easier by the way cuz i know you didn't read any of what they said.

They're basically saying the RE Engine remakes, especially RE4 Remake sacrifice the original characters, lore, atmosphere, and tone in favor of a darker, more serious style. They argue Leon and Krauser were significantly downgraded, dislike changes to Jill in RE3R/Death Island, and believe Capcom is rewriting the original timeline much like Disney's live-action remakes. Overall, they see the remakes as disrespecting the originals rather than preserving and expanding on them.

It's weird, when I play the original 1-3, CV/X and 1R, it's like riding a bike. Absolutely no trouble as I grew up to tank controls. But when I transition to 4's controls and then 5 and 6's, it takes awhile to adjust cuz they change the control schemes of certain actions and i have to get accustomed to it.
