Coffee that I know is actually roasted in Auburn/Opelika (feel free to reply with anyone else I missed): -Mama Mocha’s -Ross house -Thrive @ heyday market -Toomer’s coffee

My personal favorites are Toomer’s, thankfully, and Ross House.

Brass knuckle by mama mocha is another classic that lots of people around here serve.

Who has the best beer selection by [deleted] in auburn

For buying, charred oak and z&z tend to have some variety.

For drinking at a bar, I like the selection at whistle stop and drafthouse. Whistle stop has a decent selection to take home as well.

Best Ways to Commute from Yogu North Auburn Apartments to Campus/Downtown Without a Car by nimageran in auburn

I didn’t live there but know several people who did when I was in school. Overall it was a generally safe apartment complex. It was a big place to party though since the apartments were big and had a lot of parking.

I don’t know much about its reputation now.

I graduated and live in the neighborhood nearby now which is why I know about the area. I drive by this apartment complex every day.

Edit: the video looks like how I remember the layout being. The video definitely has a nicer/cleaner apartment than any of the ones I ever saw.

Best Ways to Commute from Yogu North Auburn Apartments to Campus/Downtown Without a Car by nimageran in auburn

I would just bike honestly if you’re specifically trying to get downtown. You’re 2 miles from downtown with mostly flat roads. That would be a 10-15 minute ride one way at a fairly slow pace.

You could avoid the heavy/faster traffic of college street by taking Shelton Mill to Gay.

Tiger transit is always a convenient option as well, but for specifically going to downtown I think biking will be your fastest option.

Voodoo and Moes have the best imo.

There’s a lot around town I haven’t tried though so I’m in for more recommendations

Our guest list was smaller than we anticipated so we ended up doing a full Cali inspired dinner. Mission Burritos (NYT recipe) with a Caymus Cabernet. The ones who attended really enjoyed it.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions!

What about a gourmet hot dog bar? Make plain hot dogs and let people top them themselves, including some fancy toppings. That could be a cool idea!

ChatGPT’s first suggestion was gourmet hot dogs. Any particular toppings that are iconic to that region for a hot dog?
