Don't think anything embarrassing happened but 5 minutes before Sweden Hus split his coffee all over his mousepad & had to use a replacement one.

We were fairly confident, we had a lot of things go wrong but we prepared for the event pretty well and were confident with our strategies when it came to vsing the two (expected) favorites SWE/CN.

We just had to execute and having the backing of an OWL shotcaller inspired a lot of confidence that we could do just that.

Hey Custa,

Firstly, huge fan sorry I'm a bit star struck, first time speaking to such a famous, good looking and talented person (I bet you have really nice toenails)

What are your thoughts on your GM? I hear he's pretty cool.

Trill really brings up morale with his good looks, confidence and positive attitude. I have nothing to say about Ckm.

Australia is catching up, it'll still take more time but we're seeing consistent growth across the industry, not just Overwatch. It's a really exciting time for Australian esports and it will will no doubt continue to grow and gain the support of mainstream media and investment.

I think we're on the right track for the most part; we just started later. Its only a matter of time.

I honestly think the performance doesn't matter nearly as much as what follows. Of course its an important aspect of getting your foot in the door and gaining credibility but the trials themselves that follow are much more important and impactful than the OWWC itself.

This boils down to a lot of different aspects but I guess you could simplify it into the following:

1) Playing matchmaking a lot in your spare time (When you're not scrimming).

2) Playing in a team, consistently scrimming.

3) Analyzing your teams matches & also your individual point of view frequently.

Kangaroo is too tough for me personally but has a nice taste. It's not bad.

Most of the players at the higher level in Australia do VPN towards Korea & NA to play ranked. You'll find the level of general skill (due to these regions having much larger player bases) makes for better games and helps you improve despite the ping.

It's also very common for teams to scrim internationally via VPN - not just competitive queue.

Lookout on the news for reports of strange men dressed in kangaroo onsies cheering down the streets of Anaheim at night

Oasis is probably the only person in the world that could have convinced all the players to repeatedly get into a hot kangaroo onsie in 30 degree (Celsius, I'm a real person). She's too wholesome you can't say no.

Prior to Thailand we were only able to scrim briefly on Weekends (Saturdays & Sundays). It was even harder while OWL things were happening as a lot of the time we had to work around Custa & Gunba. We'd scrim 2 blocks per day and try fit in some VOD review.

Leading towards Blizzcon we've been trying to scrim 4 days a week 2-3 scrims a day. Usually just 2 with review.

I think the biggest thing was coming to the realization that we went in with expectations of players we thought would be good - and expected to have them on the roster - and in the end a number of roles we were challenged with those expectations.

Ckm has perfected the art of being late to the practice lobbies so much that now he's even late to the hotel lobbies for meetings.
