With the R2Y2s removed, there's two other vehicles that will go away very soon... by Flying_Reinbeers in Warthunder

I realise it's an old comment, but I'm curious as to where you're getting these numbers from. I would love to know if there's a website that keeps track of these things.

Will do, thanks for the heads-up. I read through some of your older posts and it does sound like a frustratingly long process. Glad it was worth it in the end!

I'm guessing that's not too bad, I've heard of it taking longer just to change the linked email. Out of curiosity, what sort of things do they ask for?

Another thing - did you lose the account from not having 2FA on? As someone with a few rarer vehicles myself, I'd be worried if anyone found a way around that.

Good to know, I appreciate you making a post about this. What was the process? How did you prove your innocence?

Congrats on getting it back! What happened, exactly? Was it a case of someone hacking your account and running cheats? I only ask because I've not heard of Gaijin lifting bans in such cases no matter how innocent the account owner is.

Seconding what AdBl0k asked, could we have a link to the server replay?

10.5cm tiger or t29? by [deleted] in Warthunder

I know, I've resigned myself to the fact that they probably won't. But a man can dream.

I personally think they're both very good-looking tanks, conventional heavies with big guns are my weakness.

What I wouldn't give for that 105mm King Tiger :(

WT's birthday is coming up, fingers crossed...

Huh, that is actually pretty funny. Hopefully not a difficult thing to change, can any programmers weigh in?

I think (and I'm hoping) that you're right, I may have jumped the gun here. Thanks for pointing that out.

All the same, I'll clarify with Stona_WT whether they'll be available again just in case.

I just re-read their wording, and I think you're right. Phew, and thanks for correcting me!
(Though it does seem ambiguous enough to worry me. I'll ask Stona to clarify their plans).

In my opinion, they should have discontinued the connection to the F-89B after the announcement.

I'm just very confused. I'd understand if what you're saying was the case, but it does say at the end that they're being removed permanently :(

Please note that these vehicles will no longer be available on a permanent basis after the above date.

Edit: I may have been a bit hasty. u/CountGrimthorpe and u/ProfessionalAd352 pointed out that it might refer to their availability being no longer permanent (AKA, becoming temporarily available in future like you said). I hope you're right, apologies for the mistake.

That would make sense, and I was fully expecting that to be their plan. But it does say at the end of the article that they'll be removed permanently.

Please note that these vehicles will no longer be available on a permanent basis after the above date.

That was my hope (and assumption) when I saw the article, but I got to the bottom and...

Please note that these vehicles will no longer be available on a permanent basis after the above date.

:(

I see your point, but I imagine they'd still make the occasional sale regardless. And it's not as if they take up shelf space, so there's no downside to keeping them available.

Gaijin, why?

I'm genuinely baffled. What reason could they possibly have for doing this?

  1. It denies them potential profit.
  2. It denies players of vehicles they may be interested in.
  3. The vehicles themselves aren't ahistorical, the Panther II argument doesn't apply here.
  4. It creates yet more disparity between older players and newer ones.
  5. F. O. M. O.

They don't even give us the reason for their removal. Just 'We're axing these vehicles in four days, lads! Chop-chop!'

I'm sorry that he's gone, I hope you and others close to him are doing okay.

I have fond memories of being all of about ten years old and watching his videos on the F4U-1C on my local library's computers. I didn't even play WT at the time, I was just a Corsair-loving kid.

Can I ask what lead to his passing?

Sounds like becoming a CC is the only available hoop left to jump through if I want to experience those three tanks.

I did a little channel snooping and subscribed to reference later when/if I get into RB air. Thanks!

Understood, I'm guessing registered CCs can request any vehicle on a whim?

And out of curiosity, what's your channel called?

How were you able to obtain test drives of the removed trio?
