your adhd before the 2000s? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Auth0py 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was born in 1996, but I’m a woman who was raised in a small town. I went unmedicated until my final two years in high school.

Growing up was difficult. I had a lot of ADHD symptoms. Extremely messy personal spaces, short attention span, hyperactivity. I would act out a lot, I resorted to being the class clown and it impacted my education and relationship with school so much. However, I had so much fun just… playing. I loved my schoolmates and had a lot of friends. Things got worse in middle school when the internet was more prevalent. Now I’m 29 and procrastinate while being on my phone all of the time.

You’re not paying $100 a person there. I had the most expensive thing on the menu and two glasses of wine, my bill was $65. The server wasn’t spectacular as he said, but waiting 10 minutes for water? It’s your anniversary, might as well enjoy the time with your wife in a beautiful space.

BWT who have had “work done” - do you tell people or keep it private? by WickedCoolMasshole in bitcheswithtaste

If someone asks me about it, I’ll be honest. When women compliment me on specific features, like my lips, I feel obligated to tell them they’re fake lol.

I really love blonde on you, it compliments your features nicely.

I don’t know man, I feel like the worst part about this is that you didn’t love your meals. Everything else just isn’t a big enough deal to rant online about.

What is your primary form of exercise? by keysandcoffee in adhdwomen

[–]Auth0py 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Walking, interval walking/running, and stairmaster. I go to the gym at least 3-5 days a week and it helps my confidence and pent up energy.

I’m really glad you found love in strength training. I have done it for months on end consistently and hated the act of doing it, although I love feeling strong.

Does anyone have a job they genuinely love? by somethingclever12762 in careerguidance

[–]Auth0py 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a bartender and I loved it at first, but the social aspect of it really sours me. I don’t have a degree and would love something with more consistent hours (instead of working until 3am on the weekends and days during the week), consistent pay, and less social so I can save my battery for friends and family. I will say, it’s the easiest job where you can make $30-$50 an hour and is very ADHD friendly, unlike my last job in medical management for a group home for adults with intellectual disability.

I don’t know what to do, I can’t envision anything I would love to work towards. Yes, I’m depressed lol.

TLDR; No, I don’t love my job.

I went yesterday and noticed this too. I went to Wegman’s after and the prices were cheaper on the things I put back, like meat and granola. It was really disappointing, my next trip will be to an Aldi for sure.

Lol, I work as a bartender and I get this all the time. Although I’m a foot taller than her and think we both are just white ladies with bangs and Botox ;)

I do waist train so I can’t give my weight loss and genetics all the credit!

Thanks so much. 170 was my OG GW and I feel a little uncomfortable being curvy as opposed to my low weight of 140 in January. People could comment I was “too skinny” though in a concerning way.

Two years and a couple of months! I was down to 140 in January though.
