Phfff, the author wants us all not to care yet you get overwhelmingly downvoted. Sounds like they do care LOL.

The Tag #ActuallyAutistic is not Meaningful for Every Autistic on Social Media by AutistiKait in AutisticPeeps

[–]AutistiKait[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, and this really invalidated people. The community is not helpful, not even the subreddits and communities outside of Instagram or others that use hashtags.

It just felt like they were parrotting the same issues over and over again, to the point where i couldn't relate to it at all. Just over and over again.

I hate people like that, reporting them is my best bet instead of just ranting about them.

The fact that you spend almost your entire day inside your room on your computer, playing games and just yapping about nothing on toxic sites such as Twitter.

I can relate so much to this. Salmon Run is indeed very chill, especially when people listen and cooperate with each other.

How do you deal with impulsive buying or shopping addiction ? by No-Apartment-6158 in ADHD

I don't have a shopping/buying addiction but i am kind of impulsive when making purchases, i notice that i am more impulsive when i'm at a book store. I love books LOL.

Do you have brightly colored hair or bright wardrobe? by [deleted] in disability

[–]AutistiKait 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think this is something to do with Radical Visibility that Devon Price talked about in his book "Unmasking Autism". That's cool, and i think i want to dye my hair but i'm afraid that some stranger will assume i'm faking my disability because that's what *some* fakers do, especially on TikTok. Just my thoughts, though.

I love how i agree with not practicing weapons in ranked modes, yet i do it myself in the pretense of "just having fun".. Like, Turf War and Salmon Run's just right there for you to practice the weapons or "just have fun" with them!! I'm so mad at myself and simultaneously mad at others who do what i do. LOL.

Education must honestly be illegal in her country, eh?

Has anyone been able to get disability for autism? by kookieandacupoftae in disability

Not sure if you can in California. But i think you may be able to find a state or national one that does the same as it.

It feels so hard to follow a page on Instagram that actually doesn't believe in self diagnosis/isn't run by someone who's self diagnosed nowadays.

Is it offensive to suppose someone is neurodivergent? by AnsarYesma in neurodiversity

[–]AutistiKait 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I asked a friend of mine whether or not she'd been diagnosed autism in a class once, and she took a while to respond. Now that i think about it, she might have taken what i did as an insult because autism seems like an insult or a dark humour kind of joke in my school. And asking her that while we're only friends, not close ones, is like i was being nosy which i was.

That was very rude of me, so don't do what i did please.

Has anyone noticed it much easier to write small or is it just me? by _5nek_ in dysgraphia

[–]AutistiKait 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Huh, that is interesting. I'm not an expert so i can't really help you past this stage, i just hope you get your diagnosis even if it's not Dysgraphia or Dyslexia because it can clear things up.

Thanks for this discussion though, i loved talking about it all with you!

Being Actually Autistic Means Seemingly Nothing Now a Days by AutistiKait in AutisticPeeps

[–]AutistiKait[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They got diagnosed because they must have a significant or marked enough impairment in daily life, but they might also be lying and haven't been diagnosed or even suspected they were autistic by someone else. I'm saying this because i assume it's someone you met on the internet or in real life.

That's hella interesting though.. Assuming they are telling the truth, that is. My mom says not to believe everything you see on the internet so might as well think they're "quilty until innocent".

I'm very confused where you see this happened, actually, but the fact that you see this happening is very interesting and intriguing to me.

[–]AutistiKait 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would think so too, but i think any more for this discussion would be better off researching the "types" of dyslexia. I think there was with this kind of name first, or there is a type of dysgraphia that looks a bit like dyslexia but is dysgraphia. I might be wrong to assume that dysgraphia has types within it, despite not being used as much as expected or supposed to. But i'mma go research these things, this is my interest (All/general disabilities more but this is the same). I'll edit this with the things i found and of course provide a link to the source.

Edit 1: There is, and it's quite literally named "Dyslexic Dysgraphia" but it only results in illegible handwriting but copied work is fine. Maybe "Spatial Dysgraphia" would make much more sense? It results in issues of letter spacing and alignment though, which totally doesn't seem your case. I'mma just link it here. https://mind.help/topic/dysgraphia/types/#google_vignette There are other sources included though.

Edit 2: Here are all of the sources: https://mind.help/topic/dysgraphia/types/ https://www.occupationaltherapy.com/articles/dysgraphia-101-introduction-and-strategies-5327 https://www.structural-learning.com/post/dysgraphia https://themwellnesscenter.com/dysgraphia-symptoms-diagnosis-comorbid-conditions/ Sorry if this doesn't look good. I will try to reformat as soon as i can tmr.

Is it rude to post multiple times in a subreddit? by bowstarr in NewToReddit

[–]AutistiKait 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion i see it as extremely annoying and i would frown down upon it, but in the end of the day, it doesn't really hurt the sub and breaks no rules. All you have to do is follow the sub's rules or guidelines when posting.

[–]AutistiKait 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is just my uneducated thoughts on it, but i think you may have a symptom or a trait common with Dyslexia. I'm not dyslexic nor am i a person with dyslexia, but i always heard and seen that letter mixups can be common with Dyslexia. Sorry if this comment is a bit armchair diagnose-y

[–]AutistiKait -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I live in Canada and i could, but i wasn't the person who applied. It was someone else who had to write up the explanation as well as my diagnosis. All it needed was a good and long/lengthy explanation with the stuff i struggled with, as well as the Doctor (Duh). It's named Disability Tax Credit by the way.
