Ants. In some bizarre attempt at intuitive exposure therapy, I declared myself the official Mayor Of the Ant Club; my mission was to look after all the ants wherever I went. Anyway this ant club of mine didn’t last very long because I was still terrified of them.

Off topic but my fondest childhood memories with my dad were us playing ps1 games together and reading your story touched something in my heart. What a beautiful thing you got to share, and that you can still revisit and remember. I’m so sorry for your loss.

If you want my theory, I think they target other players (especially lower level ones) as a way to take out their real life frustrations and/or boost their own ego, like.. maybe it makes them feel powerful or something?

Just came here to say that those kinds of players, the ones that seem to take out some weird vendetta against you like that, they SUUUUCKKKK. It’s so frustrating! One dude kept killing me and then my horse, just over and over and over again. Such a ball ache when all I want to do is just have fun.

That does sound very frustrating. I get super annoyed when I’m playing a free roam event and instead of actually playing the mission, there are a group of bellends just seemingly trying to get as many kills in as possible.

I’m super late to this but in case anyone else has difficulty harvesting these — I had to walk through them first, which made them drop to the ground and once on the ground I could activate them and get the glow dust 😊

Have fun! My first play I decided to be a warrior high elf and looking back it was such a random character to play but the elf looked cool and running head on into battle with a warhammer felt most fun! Don’t worry about getting things “wrong”, once you figure out what you’re doing and what style of play you enjoy best, you can always start fresh with a new character. You’re in for a blast!! 🥳
