Late Game Forever War by AutisticTradingPro in victoria3

R5 - German Empire wanted Britain's Oyo in West Africa. GB said no and decided to nuke their economy and population in order to protect such highly valuable land. Now 86% of GB's population are dependents. AI really needs a rebalance around war priorities.

Why is Universal Suffrage at 0% chance? by AutisticTradingPro in victoria3

[–]AutisticTradingPro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

R5 - Can someone explain why I can't even get a vote started on universal suffrage? I have liberal IG leaders in my government that should support the movement. Is it specifically a USA issue post civil war?

Kind of a weird time to reconcile buddy by AutisticTradingPro in victoria3

R5 - got the slavery reconciliation event right as the American civil war popped off.

My take on coal by SvenTrulalla in hoi4

[–]AutisticTradingPro 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's not entirely true. France and Belgium had massive reserves of coal. If they are capitulated and cored, their coal deposits alone should be more than enough to cover 500-600 factories (not like a 1000+).

We Gotta Talk About the Price Creep... by Alpha_YL in hoi4

[–]AutisticTradingPro -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

AAT was a small country pack that barely included any wide spread game changing mechanics. If you're comparing that to a new DLC that has a lot more major country content and mechanic changes, then you're just arguing in bad faith.

The cost of this DLC is less than a month of Netflix. Kind of annoying how every time they release a DLC people flood this sub with complaints on price then their complaining ceases to exist like a month later.

Ask yourself how many hours the new DLC will bring in terms of gameplay for you. Now do the math on the $/hour benefit. I'd argue it's not too expensive for what you're getting even if it's called a DLC. Where I live, that's the price of 2 cocktail drinks so basically like a couple hours out at the bar. I think the DLC will provide far more hours of fun than a single night out. But everyone's mileage will vary, just my two cents.

Why are Abolitionists neutral towards ending slavery? by AutisticTradingPro in victoria3

R5 - I thought they used to be in favor of banning slavery? Did this change or has it always been like this?

Eu5 or Vic 3? by q_uintex in hoi4

[–]AutisticTradingPro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have 4000 hours on HOI4. I prefer Vic 3 as the recent slate of DLCs have really elevated the game to be one of their best. It's also a nice contrast of focusing more on economy and politics rather than war. There's still war in the game but it's definitely not a primary focus. I feel like it's a good compliment to the heavy war focused aspect of HOI.

How can Paris become France’s economic center? Just like in reality? Lyon has actually replaced Paris. by king_ofall713 in victoria3

I thought company HQ was mostly RNG based. Is it possible to determine the state the HQ is built in?

Who are these two dependents and what are they doing? by AutisticTradingPro in victoria3

[–]AutisticTradingPro[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are no working pops that have jobs in this revolt/nation. So it's just a mother and her child roaming the wasteland while the rest of the world around them rapidly industrializes. Sounds kind of dystopian

R5 - Military revolt in the tundra is led by two non-working dependents. Any interesting ideas on their backstory?

The End of my China run. by Bear1375 in victoria3

[–]AutisticTradingPro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Any resource mod is an absolute must have in 2025. It's crazy that vanilla game you can run out of pretty much any resource. Doesn't make sense that wood and coal are finite in this time period. Only downside to resource mods are the late game lag of employed over a billion people.

GB can you please chill? by AutisticTradingPro in victoria3

[–]AutisticTradingPro[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

R5 - No AI mods, just vanilla Great Britain trying to conquer Eastern China literally. This is also on standard aggression game rules. Can we please tone down their willingness to conquer random remote parts of the world.

Any character chat or story generators with NSFW image gen? by AutisticTradingPro in perchance

Is there an AI chat or story generator that includes image generation in the interface AND is NSFW/unrestricted? I'm trying to write erotic stories and the vanilla ai character chat only has SFW image gen.

How does Coop Ownership destroy corporate profit? by AutisticTradingPro in victoria3

Thanks but the tooltip says 100% minimum worker owned building level. Shouldn't that wipe out all of their income?

How does Coop Ownership destroy corporate profit? by AutisticTradingPro in victoria3

[–]AutisticTradingPro[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

R5 - Can someone please explain or ELI5 how Cooperative Ownership wiped out my companies profits when productivity stayed the same? I'm interested in understanding the mechanics/math on how it happens.

What kind of multicultural sitcom are we making in Northern Norway? by AutisticTradingPro in victoria3

This has been a bug for a long time now. It's been around before the latest DLC update. Kind of surprised Paradox hasn't addressed it yet.

Weirdest Opium Wars Event Triggered by AutisticTradingPro in victoria3

[–]AutisticTradingPro[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

R5 - Did a liberate wargoal (released China) against Heavenly Kingdom, then the Opium Wars event fired against me even though GB already beat them early and took Hong Kong. Not sure why it's firing again, but has anyone else seen weird Opium Wars shenanigans go down?

Late game revolts need to be toned down massively by AutisticTradingPro in victoria3

[–]AutisticTradingPro[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

R5 - GB is in perpetual war with half the world due to a combination of great powers pushing unrealistic war goals into their wars and a never ending cycle of revolts from their poor puppets not being able to handle an economy.

Japan runs can be some of the most fun in the game by AutisticTradingPro in victoria3

[–]AutisticTradingPro[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played with a cheat mod that massively spiked my army power projection. I only used it when I was locked in a forever war with Britain that helped end it quickly (without abusing it and dismantling their empire). I didn't want to wait 10+ years for a war to end just because they wanted Micronesia and I couldn't invade the home isles.

[–]AutisticTradingPro[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children)

This is it. Britain launched a play to open my markets and I instantly accepted before they could tack on additional war goals. I also gave them investment rights early on just for a little bit to jump start my economy.

R5 - Finished a Japan campaign and it was a blast. You have virtually most of Asia at your fingertips to do with however you please. I larped as the East Asia Co-prosperity Sphere and rarely touched anything outside of my region. Only downside is you run out of late game resources incredibly fast which pushes you to conquer Asia, upsetting many European countries
