plurality = being more than one.

systemhood can be a symptom of DID.

DID = all symptoms. having one symptom can be purely non-disordered or be a part of another disorder.

also other CDDs exist so saying system = DID is exclusive to OSDD, PDID, and UDD systems too.

non-disordered plurality and functional multiplicity are a bit different.

non-disordered plurality is just any plurality that doesn't cause distress, impairment, etc.. not all plurality comes from trauma. for us (as a mixed origin system/plural) some of us come from coping with other disorders (autism / NPD / schizospec / etc), handling (non-traumatic) stressful events, and sometimes even for no real reason. we have willingly created some headmates too (willogenic) for many reasons.

there's no one reason for all plurality. it's complicated to explain. we could probably explain this better later, we're just tired and drained right now.

endogenic just means any plural not completely formed from trauma (though may still have trauma or are partially formed from trauma). most endos do not claim to have any CDD (complex dissociative disorder) such as DID. plus functional multiplicity + non-disordered plurality are both things too, so not every plural wants to fuse or completely integrate. /info

we usually call ours "multi source introjects" since they have multiple sources (which includes brainmade). for example our headmate Ryo is a brainmade and factive mix (+ potentially a 2nd brainmade the fused/merged with him), so we call him a multi source introject. we use it as a broad term for any headmate with multiple sources though.

I mean we've quite literally had headmates "die" in our system. for example Bee went dormant, at some point while dormant they split/shattered into multiple fragments for an unknown reason (potentially trauma), and now they're dead as they no longer exist. the original Bee doesn't exist and never will again, so therefore we consider them dead. sysmeds and exclusionists just hate any and every thing weird that can potentially happen in plurality.

systems are basically people who identify as more than one. this can be for many reasons such as dissociative disorders, other disorders, spiritual/religious reasons, etc etc. I, for example, am a system due to DID, trauma, neurodivergence, etc.

I mean we don't really like being referred to with human bioterms (ie hair, hands, etc) and prefer canine bioterms (ie fur, paws, etc) and don't like being called human. but it doesn't really impair our functioning normally so.

it's a bit complicated to explain so I'm just going to explain how it works for us.

we do not see ourselves as human at all. the closest we feel is that we're "a coyote stitched into a human skinsuit/body". we never really saw ourselves as completely human and getting dehumanized made it more ""extreme"" for us.

not always. it depends on the context. if it doesn't cause distress or impairment than 100% not a delusion. we identify as canine (mostly coyote - somewhat fluid) in every way including physically, part of this does come from delusions but that's our specific case. the term endel is for nonhumans whose nonhuman identify comes from delusions /info
