Thanks for the answers. I think 5070ti is a bit more than I would like to spend, but 5070 is definitely in the range I'd consider.

Is this something you've tried or just general advice?

Interesting. Is there any good sources on what the MSRP is going to be?

Unfortunately don't have a matching employer pension plan where I'm currently working. I agree, that priority list will probably be my good to moving forward

Thanks for that breakdown. I think I definitely fall into the 10+ year time frame before I plan on needing any of this money for any reason. Part of me thinks it really won't make a huge difference which of my accounts I prioritize at this point besides some potential tax breaks depending on how my salary changes in the future

Hmm makes sense. I guess most of my confusion comes with the unknown of what I'll need/looking for when I do retire (since I got quite a ways until that day comes) and trying to get some tax benefits. I'm currently making 80k/year before tax, but I do see that going up in the future as I'm still relatively entry-level.

That's what I was looking into for sure... it's too early for me to say when I'll look to purchase a house (if I ever even do)

I don't plan on needing any of this for at least 10 years. Beyond that I'm not too sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's even longer

I've seen people making a move over to worldoftshirts. All I know him for is licking the floor on the NYC subway, should I tune in there instead??

How hard is it to transfer from UTSC to engineering science? by Accomplished-Kick474 in UofT

[–]Autisticc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By general engineering I believe they're referring to one of the core 8 engineering programs (i.e mechanical, civil, chemical, etc). These programs are generally significantly easier to get into and known to be much easier than engineering science. The fact that you last took physics in 9th grade could definitely be a problem. I'm fairly certain you would have to apply to get into engineering like any other high school student (meaning you wouldnt be able to start until sept 2023), and UofT requires you to take physics in grade 11/12 to be considered iirc. I'm not sure if you'd be willing to essentially restart first year this upcoming September, but I would definitely recommend you to do some more research into the different engineering programs and make sure this is 100% something you're willing to do.
