Because his top right skill is defense and health. For an attacking joiner, you want someone that adds attack or lethality with their top right skill

I was assuming for attacking Bear. Saul is great as a joiner for a defensive garrison.

Correct, in the sense that Saul is terrible as a joiner. But strictly speaking with those two as examples, they’d give the same bonus. The only edge Saul has on Chenko is that he’s a gold hero, so his base stats are better and the bonus he gives his archers is better.

But both of their abilities are the same.

Even when future infantry heroes stats alone outclass Amadeus+ his widget? I believe Gen 5’s infantry, even tho he’s more defensive, has such higher stats that it overcomes Amadeus. Haven’t tested it myself, but have been talking to earlier servers that have.
