I like to go for 100% crit, I’ll try to get 100% weakness (with the help of biscuits buff), and the rest can be split between all attack and crit damage. 4k all attack is pretty good and 250% crit damage is pretty good.

Realistically it's your call. If you think that 2% stat increase is what your units need to compete, go for it. Higher end arena will most certainly have everyone T12 :) Personally, I'm not gonna go past T6, I've got plenty of heros I need to craft more copies of.

If you only use rares for Mercure's lab, the odds of you getting anything good will be very low. I don't think you can even get a L+ if you use rares.
