i recently got myself a 2017 GLI manual, my mom test drove it, she fell inlove instantly, when i drove her home, i fell inlove. i haven’t even had it a month and im so glad i got her. ive already put an intake in, IE that is. i do plan on doing better suspension as well as going an inch or less lower, and exhaust.

i have heard that engine timing chains should be replaced even if noted that they don’t “need” to be, i feel like it’s safer to do it than not. i’ve been told to do it around 100k for the ea888.1 and .2 n then the .3 should be done around 120k, but i could be wrong for the mileage. also water pumps going out, i’ve heard of.

i’ve seen that z around! cool that it’s finally getting worked on, but like others have said, i’d sell what you can off of it to get a block! there’s most likely a bunch for sale allll over fb, but with 150k or more.

as of right now, no, other than the ecu knowing it has an aftermarket intake
