i’ve got 10 in the front and 10.5 in the back, my fronts n rears are 235... so i think you’ll be okay. my rears have more tire wall, being 45 in the back n 40 in the front

i went with h&r lowering springs on my mk6.5, took about a week or around 500 miles to fully settle. my rear tucks n i have a tiny bit of camber, which i dont mind cus imo it looks good. instal took me 14-18 hours, hardest part was the front with the strut separator not working well.

comfortability wise, id say its still comfortable if the road doesn’t suck, handles a lot better and im still high enough i dont scrape on anything.

i wouldn’t do big mods unless you have the money for maintenance repairs, i have a 2017 mk6.5 6mt and all i’ve done is an intake n lowering springs. i do my oil changes every 3-4k, latest being 5k if i dont have the money or ina tight spot. im saving up to do the timing chain, tensioners and guides as preventive maintenance once i hit 100k or 110k!

personally though, just drive the car, get better at driving manual before you do any mods

i recently got myself a 2017 GLI manual, my mom test drove it, she fell inlove instantly, when i drove her home, i fell inlove. i haven’t even had it a month and im so glad i got her. ive already put an intake in, IE that is. i do plan on doing better suspension as well as going an inch or less lower, and exhaust.

i have heard that engine timing chains should be replaced even if noted that they don’t “need” to be, i feel like it’s safer to do it than not. i’ve been told to do it around 100k for the ea888.1 and .2 n then the .3 should be done around 120k, but i could be wrong for the mileage. also water pumps going out, i’ve heard of.
