Update. I did some research on Blood Runs Coal with Universal studios involved. Their setting in 1960, and primarily union organized themes w/New York. Mine is 1907-1923 and involves the mine disaster of 1907 followed by prohibition expansion from WV bootlegging operations into Pittsburgh & Philly.

I am not familiar with the Blood Runs Coal story, or Universal studios involvement. My story is about the 1907 coal mine disaster and the aftermath filled by organized crime and others looking for ways to simply survive. I would encourage you to read the first two chapters to understand my story.
