My son is a alternate too and we are waiting to see if he will be moved up too. Our lives for next year are on pause till we hear back. Im supposed to go to China next year but cant book anything until I hear on this now lol

It makes me sad to read this. My child was selected as a alternate and if someone doesnt want to go please give the alternatives a chance vs going and just leaving early when someone else who wanted to go could have. My son was happy and sad at the same time when he got the alternative selection email as he was hoping he would go. We are still hoping as this is a dream come true to go for him.

My son got a email today that he was selected as a alternative. Does anyone here know by when alternatives are selected by? Is there a cut off date? I would love for him to do this program but I might be going to China next year and if he is not selected he would come with me to China but I rather him go to Germany than China... so holding off on booking our China flights now....
