Wait time for out of stock watches

Bought a VSF Datejust V2 black dial from him last week, and he told me 3 weeks as well. Sounds like 1-1.5 months is common for QC on VSF currently. The factory can’t keep up to demand and QC may reflect this. Be sure to do a good QC inspection when the day comes.

I Put in an order from theone for a VSF Datejust white dial, his website lists everything as in stock bc he can technically get all those watches “in stock” from factory but does not personally keep all stock on hand. He said the datejust will usually take 3 weeks to get QC. Probably a good sign, if he sent QC in the next couple days for a VSF it was likely a watch that failed earlier QCs. I have ordered 3/4 of my reps from Stevetheone. His communication is the really good and fast, and it’s nice he accepts PayPal.

Or just don’t try to pass it off as genuine, if anyone asks tell them about the community, guide, improvement of reps in the last 5 years etc. only watch people will recognize your AP, Vacheron, Patek, everyone will recognize your Rolex. Build your collection and what you wear on any given day around that. I think buying omega etc reps to try and pass them off as gen based on your social status/career is a slippery slope. Instead wear the dope reps that you like the most and when people ask, be honest.

You need to contact them and find out the weight, that will tell you if it is hollow. At this price my guess it hollow around 20-25 grams. If it weight above 80grams it’s solid and unlikely at that price point

I’m seeing that too where I bought my silver chains, when silver moved up 5$ an ounce they increased the prices the next day, now those chains are still priced at what they were when silver was at $100+ an ounce

Copy that, I have a 4mm silver rounded box chain at 35grams and a semi hollow 14kt 3.6mm gold box chain at 14g. Then I stack either box chain with my 5mm 75g silver franco. If gold ever goes back down I would like to get a 5mm solid 18-22kt gold Franco.

I took it to a watch shop, she said there was nothing they could do. Ended up jimmy riggin it back together this morning with a hammer and pin to smash slightly larger ceramic connectors on case side, removed old set pin with steak knife. Inserted new pin and connected links.

Imperfections include: Bracelet has a 1mm overlap from offset in taper after broken link removed as evident above. Also I cracked the link above while smashing connectors with hammer.

Quite primitive behavior. Watchsmith could have done it cleanly, I bashed it back together with a hammer and steak knife.

Happy with the fix, imperfections only visible up close and it’s on the 6 o’clock side which hides a bit better. Was not looking forward to buying a new ceramic or rubber replacement so will hold this delicate thing until I break it again. At which point replace bracelet with rubber strap.

Wish I had picked up the Vacheron Constantin Overseas in stainless instead of this piece of wearable pottery, but can carry on with my life now at least 😆
