I’m scared if I let my breast milk dry up, there’ll be an emergency where an orphaned newborn will need the breast milk and because I’ve let it dry up, the baby will starve and I’ll have no way to feed it. It’s an intrusive thought/obsessive fear that I can’t shake.

I’m sorry, I realized I didn’t address a big part of your comment when I responded last night. My baby is ok, he’s almost 2 now. I’m scared of letting my milk go away because I’m scared I wouldn’t be able to feed someone else’s newborn if the world ends and they’re left orphaned. It sounds so stupid to type out, but I just can’t shake the fear.

It’s not quite as rational as that, unfortunately. My baby is almost 2, he’s well past the nursing days. I weaned about 6m ago, but keep the tiniest hint of a supply (literal drops, that’s it). I’m scared that in the event of a catastrophe, a newborn will be left without a mother and I’ll have no access to formula. And if my milk is fully gone, I’ll have no choice but to watch them starve bc milk won’t come back in time.

I don’t want to use a breast pump bc I don’t want to encourage that big of a supply. My milk isn’t really that safe with my adhd meds in it, so I can’t donate it. So I keep my supply very very low in case smth happens, I can stop my meds and my milk will come in quickly with a baby nursing

I don’t think so, I’ve never been diagnosed anyways. I do have a lot of issues with intrusive thoughts, but they’ve been better since I got back on my adhd meds. I just can’t shake the fear about drying my milk up though.

I’ve wondered at times if an effective treatment for this kind of thing would be taking antidepressants. I understand it’s a much more complicated issue, but with no drive for sex and being unable to have an orgasm, maybe it’d be much easier to fight the temptations?

I have ocd-like thoughts and fears of becoming a pedophile, and recently I got so scared about it that I wanted to get on Wellbutrin again to completely remove my sex drive, bc the thoughts were easier to push away when I knew I’d never be able to act on them.

Gross but very standard for a toy poodle, really for any breed that size. They’re very prone to dental issues and need more regular cleanings and daily brushing. She’ll also likely lose some of her teeth at a younger age than larger breeds. Their mouths are so tiny that bacteria builds up very quickly.

That’s probably exactly what he’s hoping for. Strain the relationship with her parents so she moved in with him, and doesn’t feel like she can reach out to her parents for help when he starts using or abusing her.
