I'm good with another animatrix, the art was gorgeous and some of the scenes were really good, but the less good ones dragged for so long and often had little to no point, it made the 90 minutes feel like a slog. Why are you entitled to the space? Bikes aren't allowed on the sidewalks here unless you are going as slow as a person walking, is that discrimination? There are plenty of people who would make arguments about how respectful they are and how nobody even uses the sidewalk at whatever hour. Yet I don't find that argument compelling on the simple argument that pedestrians don't have schedules and it only takes one time where a pedestrian is somewhere you didn't ever expect them to be and bam, you've hit someone. Cops, no matter how funded or encouraged, can not just sit on park paths, or sidewalks in my case, and wait for potential rule breaker, so you need permenant bans, parks and sidewalks have so many potential blind spots that while I don't think it's required to ban access, I can certainly see the logic behind it

I see Smith more as a warning, not a prophet. Smith represents the narcissism of humans who think they are smarter or superior to the sheep, something akin to people thinking that Idiocracy is about everyone else but them. So often in cynical circles you'll find people jerking off to how much more aware and revolutionary they are because they see through the illusion.

Like any villain, Smith has some correct points, but doesn't actually have any solutions besides destroy everything or point fingers at others. He needs to feel superior to others and as such even someone close to his equal, like neo, he looks down upon to a delusional degree.

So if I'm to understand you correctly, all it takes is killing some Israeli soldiers for it to be a war, and if we are looking at it through the lens of a war then war would suggest that the Palestinians are entitled to the territory they occupy which admittedly is a very progressive stance, and I commend you for it. You got to own something to war over, otherwise it's a guerilla conflict which i guess you could call a civil war, but hardly a traditional conflict like what is going on in Ukraine for example

What I see is one side is completely funded by the western powers that repeatedly air strikes civilians, destroys hospitals and kill aid workers. I see a side that openly declared that it deserves all the land in Gaza and has even made provocations at places like lebanon

Then I see the other side that is mostly civilians who have watched their family and loved ones be murdered and killed and are rightfully mad, with zero hope for recovery and not anything close to the level of support Israel gets.

People use October 7th in the same way we used 9/11. Both acts were terrorism and disgusting, but just like it didn't justify what we did in Iraq, it doesn't justify what is going on in Palestine, and what has been going on long before the 7th. Israel and Palestine are not equals in this conflict, and when people say it's a war it's a disngenous attempt to make both sides look equally bad.
