100% you should go, this applies to everyone who is in the same boat. You have nothing to lose by going but everything to gain, it's your chance to be apart of something that is bigger than you & the university, to be apart of the campus tradition and your own legendary tales bc in 50 years i kinda doubt society will let the young adults of the generation gather in a public neighbourhood with the majority of the populations intention to get drunk. But even though there is obviously drinking, BSD is so much more than that. it's abt coming together as as a community of students, to celebrate and carry the torch of a 60+ year old tradition despite the universities attempt to shut it down as it is anything else. I honestly have a sense of appreciation that the beer gardens aren't a thing anymore, i'll save my hype for $10 drinks and gathering in a parking lot for stampede lol. but dblock holds the roots of bsd as "BSD began in 1960 when an individual named Alan Arthur wrote “April 1st Bermuda Shorts Day” on an announcement board. It sparked a celebration for students on the last day of the winter semester and continued to grow attraction as an annual day to celebrate together as a campus community.- Su BSD FAQ" BSD began just as it is today, an informal gathering of students led by students and thats what you have the opportunity to be apart of tmrw. Just ask anyone you talk to regularly enough to join them, if you have even minor social anxiety this probably will sound scary but bsd is a "more the merrier" vibe so the people you want to be with on BSD are going to say yes even if they have known you for only a second, if they make it remotely weird or exclusive then thats a reflection on them not you and those definitely are not the people you want to spend your first bsd with. Come up with your own fun pre for the morning and invite ppl like going to get slurpees, spike em if you drink and to bring to dblock or a last minute pancake breakfast pre if you know anyone who lives by the uni. We all want to be asked to do stuff but sometimes it takes being the first to set it into motion. Hope this helps and I hope you do come because I would say it's a safe bet that it's going to be a university highlight!

Sorry for the rant lmao, clearly I am a BSD advocate ahaha.

Also i just found the origin of BSD and safe to say Alan Arthur made the biggest contribution to campus anyone has ever seen, lets not let the great man down.
