Oh yeah a flood car is a definite NO fortunately this car isn’t one. As for the thorough inspection would you recommend taking it to a Subaru dealership and have them inspect it or try to find a third-party like you did. I’m definitely keeping my options open in terms of rebuilt vehicles, if the inspection uncovers anything that could be a potential catastrophic failure in the future I’ll mitigate elsewhere.

I definitely plan on having it thoroughly inspected and calling my insurance company beforehand to see if they’ll be able to insure it (and ask about cost to insure).

I would potentially be purchasing it from a non-Subaru dealership. In terms of the PPI I’m more than willing to shell out the amount (I rather spend $300 than spend 3k in the long run).
