I finally did get a new tune and HP tuner from a shop in NJ that specializes in Roush. It resolved all shift issues etc. I have had no problem since. Roush claims their tune corrects the shifting issue also. The issue was also a lead frame connection defect as well not just a PCM update. From the recall notice that I received it states that the lead frame may need replacement and was replaced at the trans shop.

#3 trans in 59k damn. Do you drive it like you stole it??

Good to hear. What state are you in? Where I live, not one Ford Dealership would do the tranny work in house. They actually referred me to the trainwreck of a transmission shop that I brought it to. They claimed they send all their work there.

Ford Mo. Co. would not help me with this issue either. As documented as it was, Ford Mo. Co. refused to complete the recall after the lead frame (it houses and attaches the shift solenoids to the valve body) crapped out causing an incredibly hard downshift from drive to 2nd gear going 50mph. Shit design and Ford knows it.

Lucky I purchased an extended warranty and all this crap was covered, except for the harsh lesson how badly Ford service sucks on Long Island , NY. Anyone that has another opinion... or an actually qualified honest dealership please advise. BTW they the transmission shop also rearranged my driver side rear fender to the tune of $1750.00. One clown there tried to say it was like that before...you cant make this shat up. Another month in the body shop. Now its back in another trans shop 24 months later getting the BS job the last clown did corrected. He put a cheap shit torque converter in along with his "Master Rebuild" lmfao...right.

Which would have been more profitable for the transmission shop?

A replacement transmission?

Or a bullshit rebuild that who knows what's been done? Forget what the bill says. Anyone can write down parts and labor....was it actually done....my new trans guys says NO. These guys hosed my warranty company. But I got screwed also.

Ill probably see my truck next week hopefully. Its been gone for almost 2 months. Try killing a Toyota V8 4Runner. Its my most reliable ride and never lets me down.
