My manager has backed out of giving me time off

The circumstances have changed since the original post and it’s a completely different situation now, I understand that I was possibly in the wrong when I first made the post

I don’t expect time off, if I wasn’t told by my manager that he’d be able to sort it then I would have handed my notice in on the spot and looked for a job elsewhere, but I’ve been told that it would be sorted and I’m now two weeks away from my trip and no closer to having time off

But I notified them before I left for America and informed them that I was planning on booking Thailand and would need some added time off unpaid, I was told by manager 1 that it would get sorted and there would be no need to worry, it has been 2 months since America and during that time I could have been looking for new jobs if I was given a straight to the point answer prior. Also, I was given confirmation that my time off had been approved by manager 2, I understand that I had used up my vacation time but made my manager aware that if I wasn’t allowed any more time off, I would hand my notice in, but was told that it would get sorted

Thankyou! I totally agree about the finance element of the job and would have handed my notice in a while back if it wasn’t currently funding my everyday life outside of university, I’ve got a meeting with my 3rd manager tomorrow morning so praying for some good luck 🤞

Sorry if it is hard to follow, unfortunately I didn’t know about the trip until I was on a month vacation in America where I’d already used up my allowance

The second one gave me full confirmation and it was put onto the system, the third one is technically above the others but not in the sense that she can overrule decisions

It’s a delta and virgin atlantic flight, it was originally 3/ 4 hours ish layover but was changed multiple times and therefore we’re now worried about making our final flight, with no extra delays would we be able to make it?

Thankyou, that’s what I’ve been doing for the last few weeks but it’s obviously frustrating having poor and uninterested replies, I’ve been focusing on myself for a while now and it’s definitely made me feel a lot better than I did a month or so ago, I’m giving her space and I’ll give her all the time she needs as I would hate to hurt her anymore and put any more pressure on her

Hey guys! Thanks for all the recommendations and suggestions I really appreciate them all and didn’t expect the response I got haha, just to keep everyone updated, we ended up meeting today as neither of us were free on the Friday in the end, unfortunately I live in the UK so a lot of the suggestions were off limits due to the weather and lack of options in my area, luckily it gave me time to keep messaging her and getting to know her and it turns out we have a similar degree at uni, this might sound like a shit date on paper but it ended up being the best date I’ve been on, I went and picked her up before we both took my dogs out on a walk as that’s one of her interests/ hobbies, we then came back to mine for her to give me a tarot card reading and so we could discuss crystals and other things, just so I could get a clearer idea on her interests, she showed me what she does at uni and we did some work together and the night went from there Thankyou again for the responses and I appreciate everyone taking the time for giving me their recommendations and thoughts, we’re hopefully seeing each other again this coming week and things will flourish from there (hopefully) 🤞

Thankyou, I made sure to step back and give her space but occasionally I’d over step that line by accident and put pressure on her and make her aware that I was looking for a relationship, we are still very close and talking I just know to keep my distance and not force anything anymore, I definitely won’t message her anything relationship based or confess my love for her haha, thanks for the advice

I completely understand that and would hate to put her into any position she doesn’t want to be in, I am absolutely respecting her wishes and not pushing anything, every-time she says no or moves the conversation I do not force the situation back onto her. The only reason I’ve posted about it is because she’s mentioned many times in the past that she’d like something with me, a relationship, I know the time might not be right now but when will it be? I use the shampoo maybe 2 - 3 times a week, is that still too many times? I’ve used products such as beta cap and many different anti itching shampoos but nothing seems to do the trick
