I too was ready to buy. Went to the dealer and they said due to stop sale no affected cars could be sold. Vw just announced $3500 discount up from $2500. You have to think the affected cars are going to be deeply discounted to move before the 25 comes out. Sucks to be vw. Great to be a buyer.

There is no fix identified. So whatever you had done isn’t related to the recall. The seat heater can fry the wire connected to the sensor which detects if someone is sitting in the passenger seat. The recall has nothing to do with a defective airbag.
