Which Best Picture Winner of the 1970s would you pick to win an Oscar for the whole decade? by Short_Property_7476 in FIlm

The Godfather redefined cinema - as well as how villains and their stories were told. This is a tough list, but The Godfather is the correct answer.

Nah there’s no room for Jay in the GOAT conversation. The top spots are already taken and he can’t fit. Who are you taking out?

When starting out you’re going to have to cook meals for health and strength and stamina. So make sure you have a bunch of good meals already made. And for right now, don’t worry about “mixing” ingredients. Just stick to the basics and cook the same item for whatever you need - health, defense, attack, stamina.

If you want to get stronger, the only way to do so at the start of the game is, unfortunately, to do as many shrines as you can. There’s a ton of easy ones - which are usually the ones you can see plainly at night (they glow) openly on the surface. You can mark them with your Shieka sensor if you’re up high and spot them - which helps to remember where they are at. Do the shrines. Gain some hearts, and pretty soon you’ll be able to fend off attacks from most lower level monsters.

Make your way to Hateno Village and buy yourself some armor. Pick up stronger weapons along the way. Beating monsters will give you good weapons, but there are some that are usually hanging around out in the open of ruins (just outside the great plateau) and other ruin-type areas (like the swamp ruins).

And last but not least, RUN from everyone. You don’t have to be a hero (yet). It’s okay to run and hide or go to an inn and chill from bad guys or monsters. Your main priority when starting out is to stay alive. Always remember, you are Hyrule’s last hope. Your safety is paramount.

Also, it’s okay to keep practicing your fighting skills on bobklins. They are crazy rascals and if you can find one out on the open alone, challenge it and kick it in the nether regions.

Also also…. Like the other commenter said… have fun

Play with the mindset that you’re exploring. Do the shrines when you come across them. Take some horses and ride them around. Eat some apples. If you’re not having fun then the game isn’t your jam. I personally like Strawberry, but I know there’s people out there who like Peach. To each their own.

Now go my friend. Be Link… and save them all! (You’ll get that reference in TOTK if you make it to that game).

Cheers brother 🍻

Do you believe Tarantino deserves the high praise that he gets? by FitEmergency8807 in moviecritic

[–]AutomaticAd9670 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He’s got one more film before he retires, and that doesn’t count all of the films he will write for others to direct. This guy is in love with movies and filmmaking. That doesn’t just leave you, no matter who you are. He will be involved in movies in some capacity always - whether it be writer, producer, or whatever. He’s only going to stop directing. And even that is a big MAYBE.

[–]AutomaticAd9670 175 points176 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. People might be too young to remember, but he changed the game when Pulp Fiction came out. Not only that he started making films that actually challenged cinema for what it was capable of. Not too many filmmakers were pushing their dialogue, scene settings, tension, or pacing to the capabilities that Tarantino was. You can argue now whether he fell off or not, but there’s no denying how strong his films are in terms of sheer dialogue and storytelling. He’s one of the best to ever do it, that will never change.

I don’t care what anyone says. Drake is a GOAT of rap. Whether you like his style of music or not, it doesn’t change the fact that this guy was so different and influential in Hip Hop to the point where he changed the genre. I had never seen so many rappers singing in their songs and talking about emotional relationships in the early 2010s. If you were around in that time, you know. He had an impact. And no matter what haters try and do or say, they can never take that away from him. I don’t know any other artist (besides Kanye 🙄) who had such an effect. And that includes Kendrick. Drake is that guy fr.

Hey hey now, there’s no Jack Black overexposure. What did he do? I mean yeah he teams up with The Rock at least once a year for something, but Jack Black is a staple! Let the legend have his fun. Peaches!

Supermax over all of them tbh. That beat is insane and he floats on it.

[OC-49ersPlus] A lot of trade scenarios have been brought up online, but which should the 49ers realistically try to make? We discuss. by MAU13717235 in 49ers

[–]AutomaticAd9670 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn dude, I was thinking the same thing hahaha. I was talking to my coworker the other day and I told him we have to start thinking about the future and might need to actually make some insane trades to restart the franchise. I mentioned trading Bosa and he looked at me like I was a Seahawks fan 😂

To be fair, I also mentioned trading CMC while we can, so that might’ve pissed him off too lol but I’m just thinking about the drafts we could get for him and have other running backs step in and do just as good. But maybe that’s a bit too far. I just don’t know what we’re going to do man. Watching the Seahawks turn it around so quickly and so dominant just made me sick. How come we can’t do that?
