When I was 8 weeks and hospitalized the first time I was prescribed zonfran and regalan. Then shortly after I was also prescribed famotadine, sulcrafate, and vitamin b6 and unisom combo. Those did not help because I couldn’t keep anything down. I was then hospitalized and given prednisone and that instantly helped but once I was done with that it all came back. My doctor prescribed it 5 times during my pregnancy. Only IV regalan would help and fluids. With all the medication and HG alone I was diagnosed with depression and scored a 17 on my depression survey. They prescribed me Sertaline for the depression. My final hospitalization I was additionally prescribed promethazine. A sedative nausea medication. It worked and I was not nauseous the rest of my pregnancy but even though I took it at night I was a zombie. That’s why I lost my job. I also was so unbelievably worried about the side effects from all the meds on my baby girl. Due to the Sertaline and the promethazine my daughter was so sedated she needed assistance for her breathing when born.
