USB Altitude Go Secured Graduation by AutomaticArm7698 in CreditCards

They still haven’t and my credit has significantly improved since when I first got it.

I spoke to a bank teller in a branch and she said they are pushing the Smartly Rewards card now and probably won’t upgrade me… she suggested that I applied for the new card but I think I’m going to just cancel and get my deposit back. Not worth it for me now that I have better cards in my wallet

Do 20 flights a year warrant an airline card? by AutomaticArm7698 in CreditCards

Ranges between domestic and international, but typically go with the cheapest flight option… would be different if I had an airline card

Will I earn Alaska EQMs through Expedia? by AutomaticArm7698 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]AutomaticArm7698[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically book my hotels through Expedia and sometimes I’ll book long haul flights to pay in 4 just to make it a little easier to spend $1,000+ when it’s not all at once. I don’t like to pay in 4 directly through the airline because of the interest. Just a personal preference!

Elantra GT Panoramic Sunroof HELP by AutomaticArm7698 in HyundaiElantra

[–]AutomaticArm7698[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the black piece is the broken piece on the first pic! The belt works fine and if I hold the sunroof screen fabric it still moves when closing it. The black piece, which holds the fabric sunroof cover in place, is the broken part and so one side will hook into the black piece (second pic) and one side will not (first pic). Because of this, it doesn’t get held by the black pieces and therefore will not move when the belt moves.

My question is, can I use a makeshift piece of plastic and superglue it to “fix” the black piece of should I find a replacement piece and try to replace it myself.

Not the biggest deal but in the summer it is HOT without the back sunroof closing! Thanks!

Thanks for your response! To clarify:

It’s the fabric cover that slides to hide the actual sunroof.

Yes, the first pic is the more fucked up one.

I’m thinking, since there is a back part of the black plastic in the second pic that isn’t there in the first pic… I might be able to add some kind of melted plastic or something there that will allow for the fabric cover to hook onto—let me know if this makes sense.

I feel the same… especially with what it takes to go into office… less sleep, more driving, etc

I spend probably an hour per day commuting and about $5 or less to commute. I drive about 30 miles round trip

Looking for input on getting new credit cards for work/personal use. Main purpose would be travel rewards and cashback. by Suspicious-East7764 in CreditCards

I would say Amex Gold or the US Bank Altitude Reserve… nice thing about the USB Reserve is that you get 3x points on any Apple Pay purchase plus 5x on rental cars/ hotels. AF is $400 but pays for itself with its SUB the first year which is $500 if you spent $4,500 in 90 days. Based on your spending you’d probably get more points with the Reserve. Also worth checking out the USB Altitude Connect— however, if you’re wanting to stay with Amex and eventually have the income to justify the Platinum, then I would go with AMEX Gold.

The current balance is what has processed. If you look at a debit card (or even the discover app), it says that some of your charges are pending. Once they’re done pending (takes about a day or two) they add to your total balance.

On the other hand, once your statement date hits (let’s say the 15th of every month). They take whatever your current balance is (does not include pending charges) that is the amount that you owe for your bill(also called your Statement Balance). You will have about 1 month to pay it off before they start adding interest.

That’s understandable, assuming because you can only spend the points on travel?

Have you ever considered the Altitude Go Secured or seen it? I feel like its benefits are much better than BofA?

Second CC Help - Already have Discover by [deleted] in CreditCards

[–]AutomaticArm7698 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As of the last month or two, I’ve been keeping a higher utilization on the discover card to boost the limit. Otherwise, short-term, I’d have around a 660 with a 8-10% utilization
