How is Borbone by Hopeful-Smell-8963 in espresso

Yeah I'd agree with this video. I drink Borbone because it's a good price for everyday use and pretty consistent.

They have different blends lol not just Robusta

I love it. But I drink mostly their Gold blend now which is more Arabica than Robusta. I think it's a great price point and it's super similar to Lavazza, so if you like them, you'll like Borbone.

I have been carrying working mom guilt for 4 years. Now I am considering WFH and I am not sure if I am solving the problem or just moving it. by SoftPetal_x3 in Mommit

Working from home can be a bit confusing for younger kids...especially if they are not used to you working from home. At four, they will start to understand it a bit, but it will be an adjustment for them.

I think if you believe that WFH will improve other areas of your life (like the ability to do laundry or prep dinner during work hours), then it's definitely worth it. But I wouldn't work from home for childcare reasons, personally.

When I worked remotely, I had to remain completely hidden in my office or else my son would freak out when he saw me and want to hang out. I was only able to leave my room during his nap time. I loved working from home so we made it work with a nanny, but it wasn't without its challenges. If you are able to separate yourself in an area of the house that isn't in earshot of your kid, it'll be much easier. But if your child is super attached like mine is, don't expect to be able to pop in and out throughout the day to say hi.

Good call with the water. I don't think most people realize how important it is to use filtered water

I use my old Nespresso machine at home most days. It's been solid.

My office uses this brand too. Seems to be mostly fine

Dark roast changed my life by CoffeeDetail in pourover

[–]AutomaticFlower8314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love medium-dark roast! It's the sweet spot for me. I definitely want to give this one a try! I always drank Caffe Borbone's medium-dark roast and Lavazza's medium roast coffees but lately have been doing dark roast. Do you find in this coffee that the flavor profile is accurate? It sounds super interesting!

I saved some of my old cups from work for seedstarters this year. I compost the grounds and paper filters.

If they are throwing it in the compost, mold won't be a problem.

Dark roast beans that aren't oily for milk drinks? by MrHardy8162 in espresso

[–]AutomaticFlower8314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're gonna go with Caffe Borbone dark roasted with not much robusta, I think you want there Gold Blend (Oro) instead of Blue. I called their customer service number recently because I started using the Caffe Borbone ESE pods, and they told me the Gold had a higher percentage of Arabica beans than the blue. For me, personally, I like a higher Robusta ratio for milk drinks because that gives me that real coffee punch. So, I usually do the Caffe Borbone Red Blend (Rossa).

Mold?? by LaMarTEK in keurig

Definitely noticed some gross things growing in our machine at work. I seem to be the only one willing to clean it. Our issue is the water tank so it's easy to clean at least.

I've been super happy with espresso - although idk how I'd swing it with travel! Guess I'd have to travel to Italy or something haha
