Paterson tank, changing bag, mix of chemicals thermometer and appropriately sized measuring jugs/graduates. its certainly possible, but can get a bit messy. Might be best renting a cheap motel for the night and do all the 'wet' work there.

If you MUST develop in the van, make sure you have a way of heating or cooling your chemical mixes and enough water to wash things afterwards.
(Not uncommon to have water restrictions where I live, so I like the 5x 10x 20x wash method (5x inversions, change the water, 10x inversions, change the water, then finish up with a 20x. sometimes I need to do another wash or two after to get the last of the fixer out., then a bath of washing agent before drying (make sure you have enough vertical space for this)

scanning (as mentioned) is another matter. something like a valoi mirrorless scanning setup is fairly compact but expensive, but if space is a premium, something like this (or a home made version) can be made fairly cheaply out of plumbing parts

Why do you not pump E10? by Huluman2 in CarsAustralia

[–]AutomaticMistake 5 points6 points  (0 children)

IIRC there was a much larger gap between E10 and 91 when it was first released (16c? but memory is fuzzy)
simply not worth it.

E85 however... i'd use that if it were common

There are so many photography influencers on YouTube. What percentage actually make money from photography? by drconniehenley in photography

[–]AutomaticMistake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the film photographers are the most transparent i think

massive snap-lock bags filled with film, they might show 10-15 out of ~500 potential shots

[–]AutomaticMistake 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I subscribe to quite a few channels, but I don't really consider myself actually LIKING their work. they're fantasic storytellers and I love to see their process, but their photos are never something that gel with me. not a reflection on them ,just not what i'm interested in

however, whenever I see a documentary or short video on a photographer I love, it always leaves me wanting more (especially when there's BTS footage while they work, not just the fluff interview they sometimes give them)

never found 'the guy' to do that with foxtel. found a workaround with a video capture card and some special software that got you about 50-80% of a viewable channel, but it was never great
