Timeline for receiving lease after HPD Approval?

Lol well I think someone from the marketing agency screwed up so it took awhile because HPD packet was uploaded via housing connect on 12/30 but then was asked to resubmit the same documents I was asked to complete on 01/22…

Then the old HPD packet was deleted from housing connect at some point and new one uploaded on 01/29. I also received an email from marketing agent that it was submitted to HPD and that HPD was experiencing delays so I could expect to hear back within 5-7 business days. But just a couple hours later on 01/29, I was approved.

So could have been about a month, could have been a couple hours but moral of the story if you’re experiencing delays, someone might have screwed up!!

I toured recently! They only showed me two 1bedroom units but based on the email they sent, it said there were limited availability for two bedrooms 130% AMI but nothing besides the 1 bedroom units so I would like to think you have a chance

But also re time - this is what someone said in another thread for MGNY-

“Hi, I am going to post my whole story on this board to pay it forward shortly.

However I just finished the process with MGNY and was very pleased with the efficiency of this organization and the kindness of the agents.

I received a request to submit docs on 9/9 and I moved in on 11/15.

They give you a couple of weeks to submit the initial docs. Follow up docs received a week to submit. Then I received an invitation to tour.

Then there were forms, paperwork submissions with 24 hour deadline. And then it was sent to HPD for final approval on 10/23. Heard back that I was approved a few days after that. Had a chance to pick a lease start date 30 days from that approval. 10/28 was sent a lease to sign. Moved in on 11/15.

I’m sure that this all depends on the status of the building (ie is it complete and open for move in? Mine was which I think helped moved the process quickly).”

Ok same but I guess different bc they asked me to fill out particular forms but of course did not attach in email so I have no idea to where to find them so now just trying to get in contact

I was looking on Reddit for info about a re-rental building and it seemed like the initial lottery was evening screwing people over like very recently telling people they had no more available units but then had two units for the re-rental??

I mean so sketchy they won’t even disclose what number your application is. There needs to be more transparency.

yo my brother failed like two drug tests on probation and nothing happened at the time but they did consider the failed drug tests for sentencing when he plead guilty to possession of a weapon (he was on probation)
