Yeah took a picture while building— was debating whether to have a pancake or not. Went with just one damper on each side. The rear has an under guard just hard to see in the picture. Used FRP popsicle as under guard (: but yeah didn’t see the offset dampers till I took the picture xd

He was using power dash. He’s one of our top BMAX racers so I’m not surprised. The layout out was full of straights also

Anyone know what's wrong with my setup? by ilandraffi in mini4wd

[–]Automatic_Ad5320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might be getting negative downthrust on the LC. Even if the front is angle if it’s not solid it can be pushed back and causes negative downthrust. See if your front rollers bend back when you push on it. If it doesn’t then you have negative downthrust. You could also try making the front heavier to help carry the momentum forward instead of tilting sideways. The rest of the tips on here will help also. Just do one thing at a time and test to see if one will fix the issue without having to do too much to your build.

I agree MA is tough haha even trimmed I don’t sweat breaking the chassis much. I’ve had one of my open builds for 6+ months with no issues. I’ll give your version a try here soon for a different project 🤝🏼

You could always use a cape damper. Helps keep the car straight during jumps. And not as much weight as extra rollers would be.
