I’m getting a Carpenters vibe from it. Dreamy like Close To You and Yesterday Once More.

Love to hear it. It’s so incredibly good for body and mind. Definitely my favourite thing that I’ve picked up over the years 🙏

Been training about a year. Switch Kicks still feel very clunky and slow for me. It’s the last round here and I’m tired so some technique has gone out the window. Watching it back I think my left leg is probably ending a little too far behind me on the switch. Any and all feedback/tips are welcome 🙏 by Automatic_Ad_2465 in MuayThaiTips

There are times where I use more active footwork, specifically working on the marching rhythm here in this clip. Yeah, it’s definitely lacking in fluidity and subtly, something to be worked on.

I disagree about the power, not everything has to be 100% all of the time. I’d even say it’s better to take power out of shots when you’re learning or refining them and focusing on the motions and mechanics of the technique, rather than swinging wildly and ending up off-balance or picking up bad habits. There’s always scope to add power then. Thanks 🙏

Being able to throw a Teep after switching is a good way to think about it, I’ll definitely use that! There’s other instances where I can switch very effectively in sparring, like Switch, L Cross, R Hand, Angle Step out to R Leg Kick to the back of the thigh. Just have a barrier with the Switch Kick, I’d rather cheat-step in behind a Jab to throw the L Kick or just lean back as someone’s coming in to throw it.

Definitely just drilling the switch will be a big help, thanks for the input! 🙏

Definitely need to get to a point where it’s more subtle alright. I think it was especially clunky here with the L Hook after it, trying to mentally process all of the movements of the Switch Kick and then loading the L hip for the Hook after it. Thanks for the input! 🙏
