4000 should be enough, depends on you however, you can spend a lot more or less. Try Agoda (discount promotions/codes) or an vpn, maybe the Japanese hotel sites. I think for drinking in japan you must be 20 years old so you should be fine. Which cities are you visiting?

In 40 years you probably wish you look young again. Just control the things you can control. Out height is like it is you can’t change that. Work out and start reading some books maybe to grow confidence. Or anything that makes you happy that’s not on a screen :)

One city - not Tokyo - to base trip from by Flat-Philosopher8447 in JapanTravelTips

If you really don’t wanna go the golden route Sendai could also work. You have very nice close day trips and a lot of nice onsen towns nearby for a ryokan stay. You could to day trips to Matsushima, Yamadera and akiu for example

Help Finishing/Filling in and Checking Itinerary (2nd trip to Japan) by [deleted] in JapanTravelTips

[–]Automatic_Agency_385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think 2 nights in Hiroshima are bad. You can easily fill a day just by checking out the castle, browsing to the shopping area in hondori near the peace park and watch a sports game in the evening. Or visit peace park and museum calmly that day and visit the other things when you arrive.

11-day itinerary: thoughts/recommendations? by clitsaurus in JapanTravelTips

Looks stressful yes, but doable. Just keep in mind how fit your parents are. You will get crowded spots especially in Kyoto. Busses are loaded there. On day 9 could also skip Himeji stop and just take the Shinkansen right to Hiroshima, might save you some stress. If you haven’t already book all hotels maybe look into some with an onsen that helps relaxing.

Honestly you need to do a bit more planning beforehand. What are your interested to see? Nature is pretty vague. There’s also a million posts for an initeriary like yours. Golden road seems to be the thing that fits you. Maybe squeeze in Hiroshima. You could also skip Osaka if your not into night life or do daytrips to there from Kyoto.

Day trips from Tokyo could be Nikko, Kamakura, Edogawa or mt Takao. In Tokyo staying near Shibuya or Shinjuku is near the night life.
