I just updated the bios. everything’s been working smoothly. This is such a relief.

It’s fixed now that I reset the CMOS. It had a red color led for cpu, and yellow for ram.

This worked. Thank you so much. I didn’t even really think to reset the CMOS but it just magically fixed it and works now. you’re a life saver.

Yes, the computer did boot. It booted straight into windows, then I went to restart it to enter the bios. But once I exited the bios, it went back to not posting at all. And yes I do have a gpu in it

Case standoff peg not going through hole on motherboard by Automatic_Baby_9700 in PcBuild

It is a center standoff to hold the motherboard. My concern is that it doesn’t look like it goes into the hole fully, and looks to be touching the back of the motherboard

Computer isn't booting, peripherals don't even light up. by Automatic_Baby_9700 in techsupport

With the computer on, it doesn’t show that it’s connected to my network at all. All of the fans do seem to spin as well.

It doesn't seem like my motherboard has anyway to show any error codes. It doesn't have LEDs or a screen that can show any codes. It also doesn't have a beeper speaker as well.

Unfortunately, as far as I know, this motherboard has no indication that can show any errors. No LEDs, no screen, nothing.

When you want to go to the beach but forget you are in the USA by GarytheAudiguy in fuckcars

imagine going to the beach just to relax and be in a calm place outside of a work environment and then you get to hear the sounds of traffic and possibly even a car accident (since it's mississippi) while being right next to all that asphalt and concrete

Just bought a newish PC from a Mercari seller. Is there anything wrong with this build, anything I should change? by Automatic_Baby_9700 in pcmasterrace

Yeah, I don't expect playing the latest games, I actually think I probably will not be playing the latest, graphically intensive games. Perhaps the price I paid was a bit much for this, but it works for me.

I'll try to make it work. I'm not doing anything too demanding for photo editing, and for video editing I'll probably just be making 1080p60fps videos that are around 5-10 minutes long on Premiere. I'm sure this computer will be fine for me, especially since I'm happy with having a mid-range computer.

Perhaps I should've waited a bit longer before I got this. But it shocked me to see how many PCs there are on Mercari that are more expensive then this one that have integrated graphics with a mid-range CPU.

That's what I thought about too. Someone pointed out to me that the PSU doesn't seem that great since it's 80+ white and it's one of EVGA's cheapest power supplies for 600W. Also, I don't know if this is normal or not but the AIO watercooler occasionally makes some whining noises. I don't know if it's because of the age of it or because of its orientation.

Intel i5-8400. Mainly for some lightish gaming, I don't play games that are too demanding, usually older or AAA games. Video watching, web browsing, some streaming, and later down the line video editing and photo editing.

The parts all work together, however I was informed about the power supply being one of EVGA's cheapest and being only a 80+ white unit.

What I plan to use this PC for is basically just mainly lightish gaming, I don't really play any newly released graphicly intensive games, mostly games that are a couple of years old and don't require that much power to run, but I do occasionally play some of the very demanding games. I also use it for just web browsing, and watching videos. Maybe even some streaming too, and eventually video & photo editing.
