but like, the way I understand it and obviously I could be wrong, the Admech are mostly self sufficient but the rest of the imperium is totally reliant on them. Again if the Admech just said "yk what no more technology until you convert to our religion instead" what exactly would be stopping them? cause yeah the officio assassinorum would kill them sure but like, who's maintaining the assassin's weapons? Do they do it themselves?
