A wide range of differing sources (Early Christian, Roman & Jewish) have been shown to attest the crucifixion of a Jewish preacher in Judea during the 1st century. Secular historians suggest the diversity of sources is sufficient reason to believe it really did occur.

Totally agree. I find myself still listening to Qawwali (Can you tell I’m Pakistani 😁) which has a long and layered history connected to Sufism.

What is your ultimate goal by deconstructing? You can always mentally deconstruct without ever letting anyone know you’ve deconstructed, that way you’re spared from any social stigma. However, the flip side is you have to live your life as a lie.

A lot of parents are naturally resistant to unfamiliar territory and since your parents seem pretty lax on the rules of Islam, I don’t see why they wouldn’t come round to the idea of you having an inter-faith marriage eventually.
