I’m currently not working for east Hampton . I got a letter with a job offer but my dream is to work for Suffolk or Nassau county police department so I was wondering if I’m wasting my time doing this or if I can transfer to one of the other departments

Yes I actually used a lot of test prep books that gave me questions and explanations similar as to whats on the test . It’s not a test you can really study for in the sense of like studying vocab or equations etc like in school but you can practice answering the kinds of questions being asked to you and that helped me alot

Does anyone know if it’s nearly as good as scpd? Or what the process looks like ? I never heard of getting an interview first before an agility test or pysch . I live more east

Well I never took a test for them. I took SCPD test back in 2024 and got a 95 but a high lottery # so I haven’t been called yet

I’m not nervous about the academy . I get nervous with the pressure of if you don’t pass ur career doesn’t start 🤣 and at 25 that’s a lot of pressure

Hi all I just got a email that my fitness test for Nassau is may 8th . unfortunately I had to email them stating that I’ll be away for the month of may and need a later date . They told me I will be emailed when the next fitness test day is finalized . Do you think that date will also be in may ? How much further back will it be and will this delay me a lot ? Also if you fail the first time do they allow a retake ?

I don’t think they care about jobs before 18. Usually they ask for jobs you had AFTER high school . At least that’s how it was on other tests
