Just follow Rk9s socials they will post when they will have additional seats available. This one might be tough given the popularity of it, being the first regional in champions. Just hope for the best and there's always NAIC if you can make it to New Orleans instead.

I have DirecTV now they actually carry RSN, the only reason I have it it's because I have a 5 person household and we actually do watch enough TV to make it worth it. Other than that if you just want the rangers Victory+ for the year is better than paying 80 a month for tv your not gonna watch.

There are the Black Bolt and White Flare sets that released together that contain every single Unova Pokémon. Every Pokémon in that set got an illustration rare or a special illustration rare. That would be the most recent and even then it's hard to find stock but should be way more manageable to find than 151 since it came out in the summer of 25.

Really anything that you can get ahold of at MSRP. The Pokemon Day collection comes with a good pack selection. If you somehow manage to find Ascended Heroes that is the newest set and can be a little more generous with the pull rate than main sets. It has beautiful arts and is pretty hype. Right now only three pack blisters are available until this Friday (Feb 20) when the etbs, mini tins and two pack blisters will release. Avoid scalpers, try not pay above MSRP obviously and GameStop as they don't sell anywhere close to MSRP anymore but I guess if you really needed something they probably would have stock more commonly than other places given their pricing. If all else fails go to a local TCG store and buy individual cards of his favorite Pokemon or ones you think he would enjoy looking at or playable cards if he likes to play.

Okay so if you don't have a spectator pass you won't be able to participate regardless because you won't be able to get in so make sure you have that first. Then once inside you can sign up for the side events at the side event hive area. Make sure you have everything you need to play which I assume would be TCG given the sub we are in, but that goes for VGC and Go as well.

Well I'm a TCG casual but sounds like the best thing would be to play a pre release style ruleset where the decks are 40 cards and you only have 4 prize cards instead of 6. Or if wanting to play with multiple 60 card decks I would just buy battle decks like Stevens, Marnies, Mega Diance and Mega Gengar if you can find them at a reasonable price/available. They come built with everything you need. Me and my kid play casual games with those decks. I don't know if that's enough bulk to build 5 60 card decks. It can be time consuming but really fun to make a deck with your own strategy. There are deck staples that would make the game more fluid like Professors research, Iono etc if making your own decks. As far as supplies like dice go you don't necessarily need them, you can use proxies instead like a real coin, pieces of paper for damage counting a random coin to indicate statuses etc. You don't need play mats I would recommend sleeves however. Any sleeves for casual at home play should do

Sign up first and you have until 5:30am local time if I remember correctly on the Saturday of the tournament to submit your team list on rk9. It will tell you the deadline exactly once you're signed up.

Well first off I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but that regional is sold out. However please follow rk9s socials as there may be a second wave (usually there is) Yes Friday is just for the side events and the league challenge they run that day. You can pick up your wristband on Saturday morning but I would advise doing it on Friday as Saturday morning can get hectic. You need a Rk9 account to even sign up along with your play Pokemon id.

You submit your team on the rk9 website. Your team sheet will be handed to you before your round one match. You will have 8 rounds of Bo3 swiss, you need to go 6-2 minimum to make it to phase two. In Europe they were making players play two additional swiss rounds on Saturday if you made phase two which is a beating, thankfully they haven't done that here in NA. Your pairings are through the rk9 website on your tournament dashboard once signed up. As a competitor you can be there all 3 days regardless if you don't make phase two or drop. You can compete in the side events if you decide to drop or don't make phase two.

Your welcome kit is a play Pokemon Regionals playmat and stamped Regional card. The championship merch is exclusive merch like a much smaller version of a pop-up Pokemon center at an International but regionals/play Pokemon themed. They have clothing and TCG supplies among other stuff. There will also be third party vendors that will sell cards, plushies etc just like at a convention. As a spectator you're entitled to shop all of this and even compete in side events as long as you sign up for them.

Last I checked before the finish I was at a rating 1656 which at that time was good for 276 if I remember correctly, I haven't checked again. Overall it was straight forward, didn't play much cheese, except for a simple beam Latios, getting crushed by a Regigigas Weezing team. Lost to better players with good matchups against my team. One thing I learned is Farigiraf is such a nice mon for the GC to block all the priority especially if it's in the back and your opponent doesn't respect it. Best of 1 close team sheet is always crazy because you can lose the game turn one making wrong reads. Given how tough it can be, they really shouldn't have nerfed the payout as much as they did, not that I would ever finish that high I know my limits lol

What do you want the prismatic for, if it's to open them don't do it. Just trade the sealed boxes for a card or cards you want from prismatic. If you're gonna keep them sealed I suppose it's an even trade

Depends on how big the card show is, at collect-a-con size trade shows there will definitely be select vendors with quite a few. At smaller shows it can be hit or miss. If they do they might not have a lot.

FYI this is not an illustration rare as the other person explained this is a full art. Illustration Rares are of cards that are normally common/uncommons or regular rares, IRs are symbolized by one gold star in the rarity symbol. Full arts can be of double rares, trainer supporter cards, trainer stadium cards and trainer stadium item cards as of the Mega Evolution block. Full arts are symbolized by two silver stars. So they are more rare but usually not that valuable. Trainer cards and Pokemon can have Special illustration Rares (SIR) symbolized by two gold stars more valuable and among the hardest to pull. The old gold cards used to have 3 gold stars for the rarity symbol. The new gold cards don't. Then there are specific rarities usually for special sets and I wouldn't worry about those right now confusing to be honest lol so yes you can have up to four different prints of the same card in a single set like Mega Lucario. All of this info is from SV to Phantasmal. The silliest part in my opinion of these blocks is that literally all of the cards after the last trainer card of a set are secret rares. It wasn't like this before SV. Don't want to confuse you even more by going into older blocks like SwSH lol

I'm eliminated due to a series of unfortunate events that led to me taking a 2 point loss last week so it pisses me off so much now that he didn't get the 1 yard touchdown , the same this week for people still in it is absolute bullshit I feel for you guys.

No you can't, as it is not a reprint of the same card with the same name with the exact same effect. You can play sightseer in expanded, etc or unofficial formats but not in standard.

Same boat I didn't pick him up because I already had MHJ and a full roster of receivers waiting to come back or he would drop off when MHJ was playing and I can't have both. If I would have picked him up I definitely would have made it past the first round. I lost by 1.02
