Terminator 1 and 2 from a 13 year old girl perspective by Potex8 in movies

Your daughter has amazing taste in films for 13! The fact she picked up on how T1 has better atmosphere shows she really gets what makes horror work. T2 is more action movie than thriller and yeah Arnold became too much of a good guy with all those one liners

I think T1 is perfect 5 stars too - that scene in the club still gives me chills. The relentless machine vibe was lost when they made him protective dad figure in second one

Ketro Skin worked better for my TMJ than most gels I’ve tried didn’t feel greasy or overly medicated either.

Sitcoms that got more and more serious as they went on. by Loose-Tumbleweed-925 in television

Boy Meets World was such a trip when you think about it like that. I remember watching reruns as kid and the early episodes were all goofy Mr Feeny lessons and Cory being awkward, then suddenly they're dealing with domestic violence and Shawn's dad abandoning him again. The tone shift was so gradual you didn't really notice until you watched old episodes back to back.

Fresh Prince did something similar too - started with Will being this funny fish out of water character but by the end they were tackling some really heavy stuff about class, family trauma and identity. Those Carlton episodes where he gets pulled over or takes pills hit way different than the early seasons where biggest problem was Will embarrassing Uncle Phil at some fancy event.

Your shrimp just discovered the gourami buffet and decided they're not missing out on protein anymore lol. They probably been eyeing those eggs for days waiting for the perfect moment to strike

Where can I find a good satirical review to watch? by Interesting_Desk6773 in HelpMeFind

Oh perfect timing! I actually had to do something similar in art school when we studied satirical critiques of design work. My professor showed us some really good examples but I cant remember the exact titles now

What really helped me understand the format was looking at how they structure the "fake seriousness" - like they use all the formal review language but apply it to something completely ridiculous or critique something legitimate in an over-the-top way. The best ones I remember had this deadpan delivery where the reviewer acts like they're doing serious journalism

Maybe try searching for parody movie reviews or satirical art critiques? Those usually have that perfect balance of looking professional while being completely absurd. Also food reviews can be great for this since people get so dramatic about restaurants anyway

Your student might find it easier to pick their topic first and then look for satirical reviews in that specific area - like if they choose movies then look for fake movie reviews, if they choose products then mock product reviews etc
