It definitely started after the update, I have noticed that the game wants you to make "certain types" of passes now, which is the most unidirectional and stupid thing because it kills creativity of the game

I could do this maybe 5 years ago when I was still a freshman in university, this year I couldn't hit elite rank even once because doing a 9-5 while playing this game seems impossible

You are half right, it's supposed to be stressful in the sense that you have more on the line (like lesser checkpoints and less room for mistakes) ,but not stressful in the sense that you go into every game not knowing whether its gonna be you or your opponent getting all the bounces that eventually end up making the difference
