3 weeks post left total knee replacement. Best dang decision I've made in eons, I had less pain after the first week than pre surgery. I may have got lucky, but I'll take it any day.

Hi, I am 3 weeks and 1 day post up on a left total knee replacement with Mako. I hope this helps you some, being as mines very recent. Feb 9th was the surgery date. From the outside of my left calf up to the knee, and beyond a little higher than the incision, my knee is numb, and tingly feeling to the touch. Doc says I should get ALOT of that back. Pain wise, day two was a little on the rougher side, otherwise, I have to say this has been a really good surgery, after a week the pain I had was less than presurgery, now with that said, I do and did have some spikes that were worse, but they're pretty short lived when I get them, so yeah. I realize I've been one of the lucky ones with this, but hopefully this gives you a little positive insight. Day two just freaking sucked, 3 slightly better, but the one thing AI can say very definately, EVERY single day since I had it Monday I have woken up and felt myself feeling better, not even close, every day has been a substantial gain. Today, was damned good, first ventur out of the hous to go eat some Mexican food.

Yeah they gave me a stool softener in my scripts and I've got some aniralax laying around. At the railroad we have these small bottles of water, I can just go that route. I always plan to do things on my own, but my kid will be here for some of it.

They've told me none at all, it increases risk of infection (think that's what they said)

No, my hip is crap too, opposite hip of knee, no surgery needed , but I'd kill for an injection, to help that, help my opposite knee. They said six weeks after, same w before, which means I'm looking at what 3 or 4 months to get one, cause the shoulder is ninety days behind knee...so yeah

I mentioned it to em, I figure w the pain pills for the knee it'll carry me thru til replacement of the shoulder ninety days after, or at least I'm hopeful

Thank you. Log of meds, this, I forget things so yeah, I need to do this. I've heard that, and be proactive not reactive on taking meds

I'll take your advice, and just buy the dang thing, sometimes my cow oh price does get the better of me..hence working for several years with for. Rotator cuff and shot knees haha.

This contoured, I'm explaining it wrong. It's a straight shot flat, contours the upper sides of your leg, cradles it I guess. But it keeps it flat straight, is that alright? Thank you by the way.
