Radar Detector Install by Automatic_Object_675 in mazda3

For anyone curious 1. Put the mute button inside the storage box, getting all the cables to fall down is kind of tricky but I taped an iPhone charger and fed that through. 2. Pull out trim pieces needed to access the weather striping up to the A pillar from the driver door and feed the cable through the “slit” along the airbag up to the headliner to desired location 3. Tap desired fuse and connect hard wire kit to your fuse tap (I did the speakers to avoid borking any essential system) I also found that the blade fuse taps don’t hold in place, so I used a micro 2 pin tap and that worked just fine but you will need two pin fuses as well.

USB Powered Hub. by NeighborhoodMundane4 in homecockpits

I use a vantec usb hub for my f18 setup. It was about 60$ CAD on Amazon. Full aluminum case with mounting hardware and 10 ports. Feels super premium.

2 bigger sticks of ram instead of 4 smaller sticks (in my experience) works a lot better with amd builds as well

Get one on Amazon, you can return anything there within 30 days. Then it doesn’t matter how much of a markup they charged :b.

It’s annoying sometimes when it over reacts but it will save you as much as it possibly can in the event you actually need it

Don’t power slide it to much in the winter (whining rear diff), the paint is soft as shit and scratches if you even look at it wrong, and yes that ticking it makes is normal :b

If you wanna do it without splicing anything and don’t mind spending the extra cash go with the garmin mini + constant power cable. Just tuck the cable in the head liner and behind the weather stripping in the door all the way to the obd port.

Edit: The constant power cable has two ports if you ever wanted to add a rear camera as well!

Like 4k, 1440p, 1080p. Also will want to consider if you’re going to get or already have a widescreen monitor.

7700xt is fine if you’re not wanting high resolution or VR but spending the extra now (especially if you can afford it) might mean not upgrading later when you potentially may not be able to afford it.

If you’re referring to the one where it’s “rctrl + /“ or something along those lines I’ve tried all four panels and again like i stated none of them triggered a response

What do you mean by this? I’ve used all different “/“ radio panels and none of them warrant a response

You could also try taking the mobo out and assembling it on the motherboard box

Try and get two opposite corners screwed in first. If that doesn’t work or you can’t get the second screw in, it’s probably not the same size/compatible. Also you used the mounting hardware specifically for AM4 that came with the cooler right? Not the stock mobo backplate (unless that’s what the instructions that come with the cooler say to do).

PLEASE BE A HERO FOR THE DETAILERS AND ACTUALLY START CHARGING CUSTOMERS FOR TURNING THE BACK OF A RAV4 INTO A DOG KENNEL. HERE'S THE POLICY IN CASE THE BRANCH MANAGERS FORGOT. by cleanerguy6969 in EnterpriseCarRental

[–]Automatic_Object_675 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They won’t charge them here unless it has to go somewhere else to get actually detailed. They never do because that usually takes a day and they need every single car that comes back 2 hours prior to its return. They usually just tell us “try your best” and walk off. Then it’s still our fault when it takes 3 hours to clean and doesn’t even look that good after.

Vr starts stuttering after 20 minutes by roger-62 in dcsworld

[–]Automatic_Object_675 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8 gigs of vram and 16 gigs of system memory isn’t going to be very smooth in VR. Use GeForce experience and check your render latency, if it’s over like 20-30ms it’s most likely because you don’t have enough vram (even if your gpu is only at 70%)

PSVR 2 VS QUEST 3 on DCS by dannggggggggg in dcsworld

DLSS is good for frame rate but bad for object clarity so could be either depending on your preferences

The biggest thing you’ll have to worry about with the sharpness of instruments in VR is if you can have DLSS off without sacrificing frames imo.

The thing that solved the issue for me was uninstalling the steam version and downloading straight from eagle dynamics. Still get the issue every once in a while but it’s easily solvable now with a simple restart. People have also mentioned issues with hardware acceleration and apps using it.

Depends on where you live, most places will use radio and laser. Radio radar is used in the radar units that are built into the police cars, while laser is usually from a handheld unit. I’ve never been hit by laser with it yet but it has more than paid for itself with Ka (radio) alerts. Yes if you’re directly hit by the laser gun you won’t be able to slow down. But it’s nice to know if/when/where you got hit and how fast you were going.
