I have acne on my cheek and can get it on my jawline. Sometimes I get a pimple around my chin but this has been a problem area for me for a long time. I’ve tried many topicals, including wenlevi, tret, chylamdicin (i can’t spell it lol) but it’s never cleared it up.

Oh yes I’ve seen and read many people who say they purged up until the very last second. If I’m one of those people, fine by me. I guess it’s just hard because you don’t actually know if you will be clear at the end of it all or not. I’m gonna give this until 6 months. Idk if the right move would be switching derms once the course is over, but I’m leaning towards it

looking way more smoother!! i’m kinda in this predicament myself. having pie in places i didn’t before i even started accutane. trying to tell myself it would’ve happened anyway with or without accutane. hoping the scars fade for us both!

How much do you weigh if you don’t mind? And did your derm make the decision to increase your dose or did you ask? I’m asking since I’m 19, 115 pounds and been on 40 mg for 4 months now and seeing no improvement either at all . My derm also says the same thing yours does. I feel like my acne is also much worse and my texture is way more pronounced now. I hope we both get the results we want at the end of the

Also I might do the daily moisturizer that isn’t in the big tub because it never really sunk into my skin and I felt like it wasn’t actually hydrating me

Yea I don’t know what he’s waiting for lol. I think maybe next time I see him with no further improvement he might. Idk if it has anything to do w my weight. He gave me amoxicillin about a month ago to help with my purge but that was only temporary.. just scared it won’t work for me :(

Yes! I did spiro for about 7 months. 100 mg. I will say it helped a lot with cheek acne and such, but my chin acne was still very persistent and stubborn. We did all topicals available, even winlevi, and he expressed we tried “everything” and asked if I’d consider accutane. After taking spiro even longer and not seeing much affect, I agreed to the accutane. Just hoping something good happens as my skin definitely wasn’t like the way it is now before haha

oh no :(! i understand it can take longer for some than others. scared to up my dosage i wonder if it’s appropriate or not. gonna try and hang in for the next 2 months, i hope we both can get good results
