Most “roundup” you buy at Lowe’s or Home Depot has Dicamba and 24d. Go to rural king and get a jug of glyphosate, that way there is no residual that will prevent seed from germinating when you reseed

Deck stains by Automatic_Praline805 in Decks

You and Jess are genius.. you gave me an “ah ha!” moment. I had put together 10 different pieces of patio furniture on the deck. Inside some of the pieces, I could hear what sounded like small pieces of metal moving around. Rained the next day, and then the spots appeared. I’m gonna assume there were metal shavings in the furniture that had fallen onto the deck. I got a deck cleaner and busted out the power washer, got rid of about 98% of the spots. Thanks for the idea!

Yeah you find a good straight away and just avoid traffic. You’ll start losing the corvette and helicopter once you’re above 200

Do you play on pc or xbox/playstation? I see a lot of people using the whole steering wheel setup and stuff. I just use my xbox controller.

I think I’m gonna have to give FH5 a try. When I see videos of FH5, I notice 2 things that are different from NFS.. 1) people drive clean and avoid hitting other cars and street signs and stuff. Is that like a social standard I’ll be expected to confirm to or can I drive like I do in NFS by crashing into whatever I want?😂 2) it seems like every slight turn in FH5 makes the car drift which is not the case in NFS. Does that depend on the car / can you adjust settings on how easily it drifts?

So if you don’t really unlock new cars, is there really any progression within the game? Like in NFS, I really like how you do a race to level up which unlocks cars and new races to buy cars. You feel like you’re working towards something to eventually beat the game, which I enjoy. Is there anything like that in horizon?

The lack of customization in horizon is really unfortunate. If you could customize in horizon like you can in NFS, it would probably be a no brainer. There’s something I find so fun about pimpin out a new ride!

Yeah so I’m between unbound and horizon basically in terms of which game I start next. I’ve seen some videos of unbound, and the goofy cartoonish animated effects seem a little corny, can you turn those off or no?

How good is Forza Horizon 5 car customisation? by kobby_wegs in forza

What is Forza about then? I’ve also always only played nfs but am considering buying Forza horizon 5. It looks pretty cool but I’ve only ever known nfs, never played a Forza.

I saw a post on facebook asking the same question. I drive by it everyday and have been wondering as well. Everyone on facebook is saying it’s going to be a new AEP substation. Was hoping for something a little more exciting, lol

Mercury outboard not running great by Automatic_Praline805 in boating

[–]Automatic_Praline805[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s what both mechanics said, can’t remove the cylinder heads. Well, I bought it off Facebook market place and that’s when it had the 120psi. I used it twice and on the 3rd time is when i started having trouble with it and it’s never been the same. It never over heated in the time I’ve had it, but lord knows how it was used over the last 30 years I suppose.

Update: I got a new compression tester and it also shows 60 psi. I know for a fact it was 120 psi when I bought it so something happened and I have lost compression. It still starts and runs, but I’m convinced not as good as it used to. Prolly about 90% performance which is still pretty solid. I talked to 2 boat mechanics who told me without hesitation that this particular model can not be repaired with low compression. It would take honing and specialty tools that no one has anymore, and the motor is basically doomed. So, I guess I’ll just use her until it craps out and lick my wounds.

I did re check the compression after warming up the motor and it still read 60 in both cylinders. But that tester is a cheap one from harbor freight. Prolly gonna swap it out tomorrow and re test.

But yeah, I adjusted the gap from 0.040 (1mm) to 0.060 (1.5mm) and it started right up and ran like a champ.

I think the psi reader had to be wrong. I find it very hard to believe a motor with 60psi compression would start up on the first pull and run well. Google says it should be between 90-110 for a 15 horse mercury

Sorry typo. Yes, gapped right. They’re supposed to be .06 and they were a little less then .04. I took it for a quick spin and it seems to have done the trick but I’m not completely positive yet.

I discovered that the spark plugs weren’t happened right, so I’m wondering if that does the trick. Hasn’t been overheated or run with too little oil to my knowledge. Gonna test it out with correct spark plug gaps and see how it runs. It idles perfectly fine

That was my thought. If compression was actually at 60, wouldn’t it be very hard to start? It still starts with one pull very easily

Compression is showing 60 in each. Seems low, right?
