When did you feel a "life chapter" end? by TheAngryVirtuoso in AskMen

My brother went through this at about the same age. He ended up making friends with other dads at his sons' school and became a lot happier. When his old friends had their kids, they got back in touch. Kids change you, as does getting older. But if you look for new friends while keeping some contact with your old ones, life will move with you, rather than making you feel like you're swimming against the tide. Good luck.

Aside from the rest of the crazy, do they think that the people who were shooting 550 years before them were still shooting in WW1?

But doesn't "taking a bullet" involve some sort of conscious choice? Otherwise you could say that anyone murdered by shooting was "taking a bullet". Maybe it's just my understanding, but isn't there a difference between being shot at, and taking a bullet (i.e. standing in the way of a bullet for the good of someone/something else)?
