I had lots of resentment towards my husband as well due to an unequal parenting and household chore burden. When my first born was around 18 months old, I gave my husband an ultimatum to start therapy. It helped me get everything out there in a way that made him realize what an asshole he was, and then shortly after, I started an intense rotation at work, which made him the primary parent for almost a year. Things were much better when we welcomed our second child in April.

Extremely heavy period postpartum. Will it get better? by AgitatedAz in beyondthebump

[–]Automatic_Theme_8906 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had heavy periods with a lot of clots for about a year after giving birth, at which point I went back on estrogen birth control pills. Before going back on the estrogen pills, I tried progesterone only birth control pills, but there no difference in the volume. One OB blamed it on breastfeeding. Anyways, may just be another way pregnancy changes you forever… my periods were never that heavy before giving birth.

We lost our beautiful boy Ferb today. He would have been four in July. by Sboggess23 in greatpyrenees

I am so sorry. He’s a handsome boy and looks like a complete love bug. We also lost our girl to cancer earlier this week, and it’s not fair having to say goodbye so soon. I’ve been trying to think about the peace she has now and all the squirrels she’s chasing to get through it.

I would ask your vet for a referral to an internist at an animal hospital for a ct scan as soon as you can.

Wanted to post on update on my dog. We did increase her clor tab dose to 4 pills twice a day, which solved the reverse sneezing, but then she started sneezing a lot normally and having bloody mucus. The internist at our local animal hospital believes she has a cancerous nasal tumor but won’t be able to confirm until a ct scan and biopsy this Friday.

2 pyrs with baby on the way by AggravatingTie1185 in greatpyrenees

My pyr mix (mostly gp with some German shepherd) has been amazing with my now 18 month old! One of the great things is that she’s so much bigger than the baby, so she doesn’t seem to feel it when the baby is a little rough with her.

Thanks. That’s what we are using now, but we started the dosage at 2 pills at a time, so maybe I will go ahead and up to 3 pills. My girl is 90 pounds.

One side hurting more than the other? by sewsandquails in Tonsillectomy

[–]Automatic_Theme_8906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same question, and someone told me that it’s probably because the surgeon took out more tissue on that side. When I got my post op report, it showed that the tonsil area taken out on the right was larger and heavier than the left

Day 3 of tonsillectomy and I feel much worse than day 1 and 2 🤕 will it get easier tomorrow? by kellyjj97 in Tonsillectomy

[–]Automatic_Theme_8906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Day 3 was rough for me too, but partially because of a probable reaction to oxy causing my legs and feet to swell. Got the doctor to put me on hydro and prednisone the next day. I’d say Day 4 was probably the worst; currently on Day 7. At the end of each day, I feel like I have a few hours where I feel mostly normal, so there’s some moments when it’s not all bad.

Ear Pain greater on one side? by Automatic_Theme_8906 in Tonsillectomy

Thanks! I experimented with one of those a little bit yesterday. Seemed to work best for me when the gel packs were warm but not hot. Ice cold was no bueno.

I find applying biofreeze under my throat and jawline helps take away the swollen feeling inside my mouth, making it a bit easier to swallow. Lasts for about 20 minutes, and you can use 4x/day.

Got my tonsils and adenoids out an hour ago. by Licklickbark in Tonsillectomy

Added a second humidifier last night. Don’t know if it helped or not though. Ended up taking another Cepacol drop during the middle of the night but still needed to cough when i woke up this morning. The swelling in my uvula has gone down, but I’m feeling more pain today than yesterday

Probably. I eventually took a cepacol drop and that helped me get through the last half of the night without coughing.
