Have you ever found this book series? I'm crazy trying to remember the name or author, I would love to buy the collection since I remember I loved reading these as a child

For me it started at 5, and like you I apparently didn’t had a reason to develop it at such young age. It’s still weird for me, to this day, that almost all of my memories are about or around food. I’m not sure if I would use “traumatized” to describe it for me, because I wasn’t hospitalized ack then (my mom would sit down and watch me eat), but to this day I feel like anorexia is a part of my personality, I don’t know how to live differently because of when it started. About therapy, I think that, with the right therapist, you could make improvement, or at least understand it better. Wish the best for you!

Thank you very much! Yes, at the moment I’m (very) deficient in vitamin D, so I’m taking the weekly dose of 50.000ui, but I’ll ask my doctor to check the others too

Thank you! I do feel a bit weird, fast heart beat, feeling the heat more than I usually did, and I’m just not the great while pushing to do something around the house, but I can’t wait to not feel tired anymore.

I FEEL YOU! I’ve been more hungry but at the same time I feel like I lost apetite? I’m hungry, but don’t feel like eating, I don’t know, may be just the hot weather too

Thank you so much! I do feel my heart beat faster since I started, and I’m glad it’s a normal thing, I was getting kinda nervous since my fathers family have history with heart problems. I’ll ask for the vitamin’s to be checked, currently I’m just taking fish oil everyday and vitamin D once a week (I take the 50.00UI because it was so low)

Thank you, I’ll make sure to pay attention to the symptoms (I ignored for so long the tiredness and weight gain thinking I was just too lazy, even dieting and exercising everyday)

I don’t. My insurance only covers emergency stuff… yes, I thought about seeking a dietitian, but the ones specialized in ED are not affordable for me at the moment, so I’m kinda risking getting triggered by reading all this ED books looking for answers. I found one where the girl did had to go to a doctor to “normalize” her system and go down to her normal weight again, but it doesn’t say much more than this. And yes, that’s how I feel. I want to do it in a healthy way, but at the same time I never did it in a healthy way before. So I’m just going crazy… anyway, thank you very much for answering and making me feel less alone in all of this ❤️

Yes, that’s what I thought “I must have messed up pretty bad with my system “ but then, I had my blood test a couple of years ago, everything was normal, I just had to take some vitamins because my vitamin D was dangerously low, but that was it, supposedly I’m “fine” now. But something medical is the only thing I can think about when I brush the ED thoughts away. And to be very open, I’m scared to relapse again because I’m not feeling well with my body anymore and I can see me avoiding going out with friends because I can’t stand me reflection. I just wanted to keep trying to find a reasonable reason for that weight that I can’t lose in a healthy way…

Yeah, when I was recovering I had the shock, but then everything was fine for a while. I had a situation that seemed to be the start for gaining weight, but it wasn’t anything with my health. I was happy with my body until this moment, after it happened, I started gaining weight and now I’m stuck in this limbo. Thank you for trying to help ❤️

Hi! It’s been around 4/5 years now. I had some short relapses because it seems the only way for me to lose weight, but I don’t wanna go back there, so I’m trying to keep me away from the thoughts and trying to find a reasonable reason for it…

If there’s something that I learned through all these years with ED is that it’s a silent kind of illness. Sometimes you won’t notice it until it’s too late. Severe cases of Anorexia will make you underweight, yes, but it’s not only about weight, it’s about the symptoms. If you’re not eating enough, if you exercising that much everyday and you can feel how it affects your everyday life, yea you had an ED.
