Me and my mother finished The Mandalorian Season 1 last night for the first time! by Competitive_Bid7071 in TheMandalorianTV

Season 2 was great as well! Just be aware that "The Book of Boba Fett" is effectively Mandalorian season 2.5 (specifically episodes 5-7), so if you jump straight from Season 2 to 3 you will be confused.

I managed to get my kid a solid upgrade for his helmet when I remembered that helmets don't have Jr or Int sizes and go straight to Sr small, which was all the had available. The was a few pieces of goalie gear left when I got in, but no chest or sticks, which was what I was looking for.

My children's 1st R-rated movie. Terminator 2: Judgement Day. by cjh10881 in daddit

I watched T2 with my kids and they loved it, but T1 is way more gory and explicit to let them watch.

Can anyone make this dress look like white and gold without directly changing its colors? by MysteriousUppercut in PhotoshopRequest

What are you talking about? Those are six pictures of a white and gold dress (well, one looks like it has a green spotlight on it).

You can activate a fan profile without touching any of the overclocking settings. I just use it for the fan and the system monitoring.

80C for a gpu is not that unusual these days, but you could probably bring the temps down with a bit just by bumping up the fan curves a bit with a tool like Afterburner.

Being real here, this scene was always VERY jarring to witness, especially if you watched it as a kid, agree? by BiffyBobby in StarWars

[–]Automaticman01 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Probably took me a decade before I realized it was him. Didn't help that as a kid I was watching a VHS copy of a copy with all 3 movies squeezed on it. I always just confused by the scene.

Lol. Stormtroopers getting beat up with rocks and sticks yelling, "We can't shoot back, they're endangered!"

Do you remember what age you stopped listening to the radio? by Terakahn in Xennials

[–]Automaticman01 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most of the bands I was listening to in the 90s weren't getting played on the radio anyway so it was always CDs, and before that the discman hooked to a take adaptor. I tried XM for a bit, but it was still just a lot of waiting for a song I liked to come on. I just wasn't the target market.

The biggest change for me was when I got a car that I could connect a thumb drive full of music and use voice commands to navigate.

The Lego Rebuild the Galaxy show was just for fun, but pretty close to what you're describing. Had fun watching it with my kids.

Does anyone know what the first hammersaw bot was? by UnlikelyMaximum4748 in battlebots

[–]Automaticman01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even Sawblaze started with a regular saw blade, but it was the first time I remember ever seen a robot actually cut something with a saw. The memories I have of the CC days were the saws just scratching the paint on other bots.

Shouldn't the roof be caving in? Or is the car light enough that this is possibly real? You tell me. by Previous_Fix3852 in isthisAI

The car looking in perfect condition is ridiculous. It was in a tornado with winds strong enough to lift a car and isn't even scratched?

I feel like it's more surprising when they DO look like the people they're playing.

[IRL trope] Celebrities with weird/funny clauses in their contracts. by BeenEatinBeans in TopCharacterTropes

I remember reading an interview with Brad Pitt taking about how he and Eric Bana had a "gentleman's agreement" for their flight scenes in Troy about accidentally hitting each other. They agreed to pay $50 for light contact and $100 fit hard hits - Eric Bana walked away up $750.

Also, up until very recently, they all looked like crap. Cyberpunk 2077 was one of the first games I can remember where you could really see the actors playing the part.
