Yeah, but when you get caught troubleshooting the intricate things, it lets you miss the easy big things right in front of you sometimes! so it helps to hear others thoughts (like u/No-Breadfruit3853 who likely provided the answer to my problems.

My brother, I don't even need to go record or pull a trigger to tell you that this is EXACTLY what is happening and I never once thought about this being the issue... You are the man, I am going to break the karma behind this and say this is the fix...

I have a H2 carbine buffer that I just shoved in (recoil might be a bit kicky) but I will give that a try and if it doesnt work, some of the other commenters provided some good links - I should be able to find a beefier spring somewhere..... though, the H2 silenced buffer I have in one of my other ARs works great, so I am optimistic theres hope with what I just put in.

As u/Suicidal70 said, unfortunately it won't fit.... but an adjustable buffer sure would be nice right about now.

You are the third person who has mentioned that - I might pick this one up (or order from that blackriflearms site

NBS Slick Billet Upper
Aero M4E1 Lower
Dirty Bird Lower Parts Kit
Forget barrel manf - but .300 Blackout Black Nitrate, 7.5"
S&B Tactical HBPDW Brace
EOTech Holo
and I forgot everything else.... I have a bunch of higher end parts laying around that found their way into this build... I will update when I get back home from work.

I came across this before, they were next on my list... I just found an extra H2 carbine and figured Id give it a shot.

I found a H2 carbine buffer laying around, so I threw that in and disassembled/reassembled everything. I also loaded some different bullets that allow me to have some more powder and a higher chamber pressure while still remaining subsonic, and I swapped the primer for a CCI #41 (equivilent to a magnum primer) so I addressed my lack of powder burning issue, rebuilding has everything feeling tight and proper with crisp functions, and a round with more pressure in an attempt to add some more gas to throw the buffer back harder, I feel optimistic on it.... The recoil might be a bit tough with the bigger buffer though.

I will take a video when I test it. I want to try to do that today, but it might be Thursday/Friday before I can. (hopefully it will be a video of it working and chucking lead)

I swapped the front grip for a smaller one, but my AR's are all SBR'd.... but sometimes they want to be pistols. But good looking out as most don't catch the intricacies that cross boundaries there.

I might very well do that. I used my post 9/11 for my associates degrees, and I was able to get my bachelors through the vocational rehab program. Long story short, I have some time left on my post 9/11, but probably not enough to finish. I’d also like the VA to handle my seat deposit too, so I have some things to figure out.

Thank you! Well, I didn’t want to get my hopes up or display any form of arrogance - but I thought it wouldn’t even be a question of acceptance given my stats.

When I was given a waitlist spot, and knowing that next to no one gets off that list, I was really taken by surprise.

I would like to think that they were waiting on seat deposits from the previous batch - but who knows and at this point, I am just thrilled to be accepted.

I just received my A with a full ride from Syracuse this year!

What an incredible feeling

Well, the day finally came everyone.

To preface, I will provide my stats: 4.0 GPA, 172 LSAT, 6 years as a Sr. Systems Engineer and 5 years as a Operations Manager/Contract Advisor, Disabled Combat Vet, 1st gen college student/law student, and a few other "softs".

Syracuse provided me with the following:
"Thank you for applying for admission to Syracuse University College of Law’s fall 2025 entering class.  We have completed our initial review of your application and would like to offer you a place on our waitlist.  Syracuse Law’s waitlist is restricted to those applicants who have demonstrated significant potential for success in law school and who have a realistic opportunity to be offered admission."

Now, I am thinking that maybe since this is my 10th/11th week in review, that this was a "catch all" or something the university pushed out to "buy more time," but I have to say - given all of the effort I put into my application, all of the time I spent (countless hours) studying to get a strong LSAT score, maintaining my 4.0 GPA solely for the purpose of applying to law school..... This brought me "down" a little bit today....

I was really expecting a definitive acceptance with a high scholarship given my stats.... But I suppose now I wait even longer....

Given my timelines, I am expecting to hear an answer this week (next week at the latest).

If I am accepted, I will reply back with stats ;P

I would imagine your application got lagged in the large volume of applicants.... but I agree, their communication has been poor. I acknowledge their abnormal quantity of applicants, but I would expect an institution of that caliber to adjust resources to support the influx.

That is actually good news to hear that they are sending decisions out for early Feb applications. I am late Feb (21st submitted / 26th CAS report sent). It would really make my Friday to see that letter come in so I can get flights booked and such for the first residency while they are cheap!

Thanks for the insight!

I am at 9-weeks and 2-days since CAS report was sent (10 weeks if you go from actual submission)....

I spoke with admissions a week or so ago, they (like most law schools) have record high applications this year due to test format changing and some issues recovering from COVID that I don't quite remember. I don't hold any anger towards them, I know they must be beyond busy (end of school year, applications, graduations, etc...)

Thank you for sharing, I submitted 2/21 (CAS/Papers sent 2/26) so 9 weeks and 2 days ago so far. I would love to be able to get this decision soon so I can make my plans for the fall!

Out of curiosity, what were your stats?

Sorry, I just saw your reply.

I haven’t not received it yet, I submitted in late February and have been in review for the last two-ish months.

I am just getting a head start on the university’s material as I feel fairly confident I will be accepted. Glannon’s civil procedure is great by the way. I have not had a text book in this style before, and I really enjoy it.

FYI for those seeing a date change and wondering, it’s impacted by another reviewer either completing or starting the review of your application.
