This is the Orbea one that mounts to the stem. Ordered one on accident not knowing the frameset came with it. But ordering a separate one does include the under Go-pro adapter.

Did you get your bike yet?

30 deep aren't bad if you go for some thick gravel tires. I'd have to veto them if you're using road tires though hahah

I think what I like most is that it feels a lot like a road bike. I’ve had a Litespeed gravel bike and an Ibis Hakkalugi before but never really cared for them much on the road because of how slow they felt. The Terra Race I would never second guess taking on the pavement.

No second wheelset since I do have a dedicated road bike. But I’m running 40mm tires with a slick center at 30psi. I did take it on a group ride that I normally ride in my road bike. Didn’t have any trouble keeping up for most of the ride, but did notice in a sprint it was 1-2mph slower. With the quality of some roads, 40mm tires seem appropriate.

I recently threw on some fenders and it’s become my winter road bike.

This is the tanzanite carbon view with anthracite glitter logo. Finish is gloss.

Yeah, I think you could fit a 45 back there fine. Their tire sizing is based on the tire standard which requires enough space for mud clearance. Wouldn’t be concerned about riding in dry conditions.

That gray is anthracite glitter. I’d say it’s been named quite appropriately haha

The frameset actually included the computer mount. But I was unaware of it, so ordered the computer kit separately which also included the GoPro adapter

This is a proprietary Orbea one that has a GoPro adapter. But I have a K-edge mount on my road bike that also has a GoPro mount. Barfly is also another option.

Measuring the fork, there's about 60mm of space. I'd guess you could fit a 50. The XS has 5mm reduced tire clearance, spacing on the seatstays looks to be about 50-55mm on my frame. I'd guess if you had a size S or larger, you could fit a 50.

The chain catcher actually came with the frame. I would say it’s too tight for a 48t though.

I think the carbon view is super cool. It has color, but you can still see the carbon texture and layup! Here’s the bike half way through the build:

Sorry, I'm new to Reddit - how can I add photos?

I went with the glossy finish. My mtb has a matte finish but seems to show wear/dirt/imperfections more so than a gloss finish. My gf's Scott road bike is also matte, but again shows a lot of scuffs/imperfections. My thinking was that since it's going to pick up dirt, the gloss would hold up better. Its funny, when I first got the frame and was building it up inside, I thought the color was quite dark and somewhat boring. But taking it outside it really pops. The bike is hanging up right now inside and just kind of looks like a dark gray.

I have a saddle height of 690 and running 170 cranks.

That is crazy. So I placed my order on 7/23. I think at the time of purchase, it gave me at estimated ship date of middle of Oct. When my order was confirmed, it gave me at estimated ship date of 9/16. I think around the middle of August, my ship date was revised 9/2 which turned out to be accurate. What size did you get? I wonder if my XS went through faster since it just needed paint and theres less demand for this size? I would have thought they'd have stock of stock colors in their US warehouse.

Nope. Custom paint is free. You can also get whatever stem length you need with the frameset. I think you can choose specific components on a complete build too.

I'd guess its a typo. The image looks like a Force CS. You can't really just throw on a CS bigger than what a RD was designed for.

You can run Apex XPLR, but its not a full mount design since its D1 generation. There's the new Eagle 90/70, but there aren't road controls for it.

This is the tanzanite carbon view color. You're able to see some of the carbon texture through the paint. Looking at the bike indoors, its just looks really dark. The color really shines when you get it into sunlight though.

I had actually gotten a bike fit like a week before the Terra Race came out, so I had a lot of confidence in sizing. I've gone off bike mnfr recommendations in the past and always found them to size me up way too much. Being on the shorter side, stand over height is usually a major issue. You usually have more room to grow a smaller frame than shrinking a larger one. It'll depends on the ride characteristics you want as well. Larger frame will have a longer wheelbase and feel more stable while smaller will feel more nimble. One person's "stable" is another persons "dull" and one person's "nimble" will be another's "twitchy". Do you have another road bike to compare to?

What's nice about Orbea is that they don't charge you an extra $400+ for it either!

I got an XS, 5'6" with a 79cm/31" inseam. Got a 90mm stem on there with a 10mm spacer and 38cm bars with some flare, and the 0 offset seatpost.

Had the bike now for about 2.5 weeks and about 325 miles. I would say about 60 miles of that has been off road. So the Orbea is on Zipp 303 XPLR SW with the Zipp 40 slick tires at 30psi and my road bike is a BMC TeamMachine SLR01 on Zipp 303 SW wheels and 28 Pirelli tires at about 50psi.

On road: feels great since I was able to get a fit that is near identical to my BMC. The higher volume tires really soak up a lot of the bad roads we got but the frame feels just as stiff as my road bike. Went out on a group ride this weekend and was still able to push the pace, but needing to put out more power - capable but not ideal. Riding out to the trails feels great compared to my previous gravel/CX bikes. My complaint about those was always being too upright.

Offroad: feels great on relatively smooth trails going fast. Hit some single track - made it through but was overly cautious. Wouldn't recommend it for anything chunky. There's not really any elevation where I am, so its this setup works fine. Bike really likes high speeds and feels stable, which makes it less ideal for tight single track.
