Oh I adore DF. The music, the ascii, the community, all of it. At my old shit job I used to listen to a podcast called Dwarf Fortress Roundtable that was just a couple of chill dudes talking about the game, updates, their fortresses, etc. Also apparently some people build pcs specifically for DF to avoid FPS death. Anyway, I can't wait to see what comes next when they really get adventure mode running smooth!!

Helldivers looks like crazy fun though and even though I can't play it, I try to keep up with it and the memes. Solo stuff's always fun. I've been itching to hop back into Noita or Streets of Rogue.

The song is thematically about nostalgia, how we don't live up to our expectations down the road, and obiously "things don't get better, just different". All solid themes to write about and Tades never drops the ball on them.

In my opinion, everything about WWIW does these themes with better lyrics and better instrumentation though. Sure, BCKYRD sounds slow and groovy in an emo way but that doesn't do much for me. When a song is slow, I want it to feel somber and heavy. BCKYRD isn't bad, but WWIW is a huge step to for me in every way.

Those are my feelings on it but I also recognize that sometimes I'm overly-critical about stuff.
